Course was in terrible shape, played 4th July paid $188 to golf on a a course that may as well have been Hansen dam, brown patches all throughout the greens, and super hot!! Had the worst appetizers ever after the round, but the bartender was great! Overall will never go back for the rate asking!

Very challenging Nicklaus designed track carved through rough canyon wash terrain. All 18 holes are forced carries from tee to fairway or green with impeccably maintained fairways and large, contoured, very fast tournament difficulty bentgrass greens. Holes rarely adjoin one another and there are limited grassy ??safe? zones for errant shots. The course is surrounded by desert wilderness preserve (natural habitat) that is very unfriendly rock and cactus (and frankly not attractively groomed as are many other desert resort courses of this stature). Course rules prevent golfers from entering there and most of these areas are played as lateral hazards, some as OB. Single digit handicappers who appreciate a challenging, manicured course will love it, but many others will find it frustrating and should plan to lose a lot of golf balls. The facility is marketed as a resort experience with attentive service from the staff, i.e attendant bag check in, carts with GPS included, etc (although range balls are extra). High green fees make the course prohibitive for most golfers to be able to play frequently. The lack of a clubhouse also has made this hard to swallow, but the new Spanish motif facility looks beautiful and is scheduled to open May 1st. With the completed facilities it is poised to become a really nice venue for players with deep pockets, although it??s really overpriced for most players living in the immediate community.

Not unless you want to bring a lot of golf balls! Always in great shape, perhaps too-pricey for a regular diet. But these are greens just like the pros putt on! It's an O.K. layout, built down in the Tujunga wash basin. Can get really windy there! Keeping the ball in play is a priority if you want to enjoy your day at Angeles National. It's the only Jack Nicklaus designed course in L.A. County. The practice facility is top-of-the-line...but it's a long way from the "clubhouse". The ultra-fancy clubhouse that they keep saying they are going to build (the plans are posted on the wall in the pro-shop/grill area!) has not yet even been started. When it's done, this course will be one of the very nicest in Southern California!

It's a little pricey at $100 but it is a nice course. The layout is challenging with lots of environmental areas and the course is in great shape. They had some damage after the big rains but all is fixed now.

The range is great. It is always off of grass and the balls are new. You have to hitch a ride to the range with one of the staff if you aren't playing but it's worth it.

PROS: The range is top notch
CONS: $100 is a little much for me to pay
