During our two years at Mediterranean Village we were told by management: that it is their policy to allow transients and non residents to have keys and look through dumpsters on the premises, stealing ID information (seriously, ask them if non residents are allowed to have keys); that they had one resident who allowed many small dogs to defecate and urinate all over her apartment and would do nothing when her neighbors complained (luckily we lived in a different building); and that only non residents who should not have access to our garages were allowed to park in certain parts of the garages? The entire place reeks of animal feces and urine and they rarely clean anything. At any given time three to five residents will be suing them for some atrocity. We saw four different managers in less than two years pass through, one of whom had never worked as a manager before, but was actually some sketchy real estate agent (he was eventually fired). Everyone we knew there was trying to get out. One of our neighbors actually found a new apartment and lost it because Mediterranean Village management gave him a bad reference. They signed for and then lost packages of ours and other residents. One manager had to be fired because he had not done paperwork for 9 months, and god knows what else. Good luck getting them to return any phone calls. Upon leaving they took almost our entire deposit for rug replacement. The kicker is they always replace the rugs so if you aren't planning on living there for 5 years or more expect to lose your whole deposit. The maintenance staff is really good, if you can convince management to let them come to your apartment, which usually takes three or four phone calls. The only reason anyone stays there is for rent control, and these days nearly every other building on the block is cheaper and in better shape. We would recommend renting there if you like padding corporate pockets and living in filth.

Pros: Great Location / Maintenance staff is trustworthy and polite

Cons: Dirty, Sketchy Managers, Poorly kept Apartments and Premises, Allows Dangerous Non Residents to Enter Complex Daily
