Hobby Co

by Barbara B. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 8

When I leaved in San Francisco I used to go here all the time for art supplies. They have everything you need for kid's craft project and a BUNCH of hobby items for whatever hobby you have. I like the little doll furniture.

by Rebecca H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,002

No matter what kind of project you are set out to doing, The Hobby Company, also known as HobbyCo to many locals, is the place to find all your tools and gadgets. They have things from beads, to foam balls, to model planes, to ribbon.

PROS: A plethora of arts and crafts needs.
CONS: Hard to find parking.

Hobby Company Of San Francisco

Hobby Company Of San Francisco is a pretty pricey store. You can find most items there but expect to pay premium price. I used to live in Richmond District and I used to visit this store and bought lots of wooden stamps.

for the crafter

by G W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,148

The Hobby Company Of San Francisco has everything you need to start a fun project with your kids or for yourself. They have project ideas and can show you easy techniques for many. It is a good place to bring your kids and keep them away from Nintendo. But beware, this place is more expensive than those large retailers, but it is definitely more charming.

A School project

Great local shop that carries almost everything you need to keep you to make clay sculptures. Good selection and can special order items not on stock or not regularly stocked. Service is good and they are very helpful in what your needs are. Prices are really reasonable. Take the time to visit this store, its worth it.

Hobbies rejoice.

by Kwok C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,186

Located near the Geary Mall, the Hobby Company of San Francisco, offers a wide variety of hobby projects to get involved in. They have RC cars, and boats, while very expensive, if you can afford it make a great project for yourself, or the little kids. The store just has a tremendous amount of thought, and great to stop by instead of going to Wal-Mart for your creative fix.

by brian l. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,790

I really like this store since it is close by and provides great service. A lot of things to choose from, I like going with my brother to check out all the cool things they have there. Only thing is that it is a little expensive. I enjoy the who experience though just walking throughout the store.

Arts and Craft

by L W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,900

This place is expensive but they have some really good stuff. The store is pretty big and they have all kinds of supplies to fulfill your arts and craft needs. The service is pretty good. They're always willing to help. Overall I give this store 4 stars, one star was deducted for the price.

This place has everything you need to finish up a project. They have popsicle sticks, balls, paint, etc. The place is pretty small and filled with lots of stuff. They have many items on display which can help you imagine new projects.
