I've had nothing but great experiences with Ike. I've taken shoes to him to widen, to add another inch to a boot heel, to fix a zipper, to glue a ripped-up inseam, clean up leather, and any number of other tasks, ordinary and strange. He's always delivered on time and with great results. He's never seemed terribly excitable either way -- just polite and professional. I highly recommend Ike.

I have been to Ike's twice. - Both times it was to re-attach a broken purse strap.\r
The first time I was not happy with the workmanship because the thread did not match and the sewing was sloppy. Consequently, I never used the purse again. Because he is conveniently located near my home I gave him another try today. I nicely explained that I did not want it to look repaired and that the thread needed to match. He got very upset, raised his voice at me and said he knew how to do it. He did not want to give me a repair tag receipt (meaning he pockets the money). When I picked up the purse he charged me twice as much as the last visit...probably because he didn't like me politely questioning the thread color. Never again! \r
