This place has become one of my favorite dining spots in LA, the food and the wine list are a perfect match.

Some places you walk into and it doesnt seem too appetizing. Straight from the pictures you start to drool from this place. Real authentic feel to it, good prices too.

Not the greatest Italian Restauran at all! I will most likely not go back to that place unless I have to. The pizza is the only thing I was able to eat there.

I went to the Pizza Cookery with such high expectations and came back disappointed. The only thing I enjoyed was the bread. My family and I came back home hungry!

I've been going here for years. Large Cheese Pizza and Antipasto Salad and about half a pound of their butter with the garlic rolls and then bounce me into bed, I'm done! I can't shove the pizza down my throat fast enough. It's awesome. This is one of those meals I eat alone so noone can see that I really eat like a wild beast. If you're panning Pizza Cookery, you just don't get it.

I love this place! My kids love it too! They have the best rolls that you get with any order. My kids love the saw dust on the floor! They are always asking to go there when we are in the area.

We love The Pizza Cookery in Woodland Hills. The pizza is scrumptious, the salads are huge and the garlic rolls are the best. This is the original not to be confused with restaurant in Encino. Very kid friendly-

Delicious pizza, salad and rolls. Service is good. Ambiance is interesting (saw dust all over the floor is a bit messy with kids) but the food is delicious.

I LOVEEEE THIS PLACE. The bread they serve is delish!! The pizza is even better! I highly recommend the meat lover's pizza or the spaghetti with meatballs. The price is not bad at all! If you're in the mood for pizza that's not from Domino's or Pizza Hut, check this place out. Also, if you're in Granada Hills, check out the Pizza Cookery on Balboa and Devonshire (Next to Asahi Sushi)!

Been going here my whole life (30+ years) -- very hard to beat the pizza, though judging by the other reviews, you either love it or hate it. Great for coming in to eat, or ordering out, and the beer pitchers are a nice treat if you're there with some friends and live nearby. Service is nice, and it's a family-run establishment.

Pros: Great pizza, beer, salads

Cons: A little pricey, but worth it

The pizza Cookery has great pizza and great salads. Their bread is to die for! When I go with a friend we can easily split a salad, and have the bread and be full. I have been coming here for years!

I've been a customer of this owner operated rustic Italian restaurant for years. Their salad are very large (even the small size) and full of fresh ingredients. I love the minestrone soup, but the family favorite is the fresh hot garlic cheese rolls. We always stop for lunch when we shop at Topanga Plaza.

We love to go to this friendly little restaurant. The garlic rolls are absolutely delicious (usually, sometimes they are overcooked). The house salad with blue cheese, while simple, is very fresh and tasty, and deceptively large. Mostly we get full just eating these. You can get some pasta too for not much additional money, but the salad and the rolls are the best part.

I wish I would have read and believed the reviews before ordering. The pizza is simply aweful. Soggy, salty, greasy. I didn't know pizza could be so bad. YUCK! Don't waste your money, Taco Hell's taco pizza would be better than this.

I'm sorry but I don't get why people like this place. Ths sawdust on the floor...the whole vibe is weird. I picked up a pizza to go and when I got home and opened it, I said out loud,, ""What in the hell is this?!"". It was cut all weird and soggy. No thank you! Go to Redballs or Fratelli's..

I've come here for years! The pizza is delicious and the atomsphere is family oriented with large tables and sawdust on the floor! They have family size dinners too! Try the house salad and don't forget to get an extra helping of the mouth watering garlic rolls. That's worth the trip itself!

Be conversational: Write it as if relaying your experience to a good friend. \r\nBe specific: Generalities like ""lazy service"" or ""tasty pizza"" leave people wanting more detail. \r\nBe yourself: If you're an expert on burgers, let us know. If this is your first-time massage, say so. \r\nBe fair: Comparing the city's top French restaurant to a neighborhood taco stand is just silly.

I've been coming to the Pizza Cookery in Woodland Hills for years. I love the super cheesy pizza, crave the garlic rolls and I always have the antipasta salad with the delish, herb filled house italian dressing.\r\n\r\nThe place hasn't changed in the 25+ years I've been going there - I'm pretty sure their Ms. PacMan machine is the original one they put in. Have a lollipop on the way out - but save the red ones for me!

Cons: Not healthy!

The restaurant's setup is nice, but the pizzas, absolutely disgusting! They're extremely salty, and the cheese doesn't taste like real cheese. Even Pizza Hut is better, so you can only imagine how BAD their pizzas are. Their pizzas aren't worth the prices on their menu. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS!!!

I had the antipasti salad via delivery. This was the worst antipasti salad I have ever tried. The place uses the worst sausage and pepperoni I have had in years (I assume these ingredients are the cheapest). I cannot talk about the garlic rolls as I did not order them. However, others in the office had pasta and sandwiches and were all unimpressed. I hope the experience is different for people who come in to the restaurant and order their specialties - pizza and garlic rolls. As it stands, we unanimously voted to avoid this place for future lunch deliveries.

Pros: My poor experience relates to delivery only. Can't talk for dine-in experience.

Cons: The worst antipasti salad I have had in years due to particularly bad ingredients.

The garlic rolls are amazing, I have to force myself not to eat too many before the actual food comes. We almost always go for lunch, so we get the mini pizza with what we like, and so far i've not ordered one I don't like!

By the time the pizza comes my husband & I are usually full from the totally addictive garlic knots and one of the delicious salads (the antipasto is my *favorite*), but then we have a piece or two anyway since it's so GREAT!! We always get a double-pepperoni and fresh garlic pizza, and that combo is fantastic!! Unlike other pizza places, Pizza Cookery's fresh garlic is not at all bitter; it's just wonderful. Maybe they roast it or something. Anyway, my spouse and I absolutely love this restaurant; so much so that we're taking my parents from out-of-town there tomorrow night. Very highly recommended!

Italian anything is my downfall and when it comes to the food, OMG! All I Can say about this place is that their garlic knots are freakin' addicting. I can sit down with those, their butter and their marinara sauce and be happy.

Their pizza is wonderful, too. Half the time when my friend visits, we eat here or order to pick up. We're both pizza fiends and this place hits the spot.

My son loves their ravioli with meat sauce. Finally a place I don't have to worry about his finishing his food. I never have anything to put in a doggie bag for him.

The portions are generous and the food is worth every penny.

PROS: You can't go wrong with much in this place.
CONS: you can get fat from this place...LOL!

If you love pizza & you love salads...man this place is the best. Sawdust floors, fun decor and the best pizza & the bestest salads in the world. The cheese they put on their salads is out of this world AND wait...they make their own cheese/garlic rolls served hot out of the oven with soft whipped butter, and killer ice tea. Check em' out!

PROS: fast service, inexpensive & great!

One word to describe this place is Delicious. Their garlic bread is the best ever made. The feel of the restaurant is very family like and everyone there is very friendly. The prices are affordable and you always take food home with you. The restaurant has sawdust on the floor and a very fun vibe when you walk in.

It's those wonderful garlic rolls. Brought to your table still warm and fragrant with whipped butter, they are impossible to resist. Keep eating them and they'll bring more-- but oh, I suppose you have to actually order something.\n\nI have a weakness for their house salad as well. Give me an enormous bowl of romaine, served with garbanzos, lots of cheese, a token tomato and a wonderful, tart, vinegary Italian dressing and I'm in salad heaven. I'll even opt for the mushroom salad (you've got to really like lots of mushrooms, which I do) on occasion. \n\nBut you want to know about the pizza, I suppose. It's good, though quality varies. I've had absolutely killer pizzas (try basil, garlic and tomato) and some which were soggy, laden with too much everything. One thing is for sure, they don't skimp on things here and you won't come away hungry.
