Okazu Ya on Noriega is a very nice modern looking place after the remodeling. The parking over here is not too bad as well. The food is decent and the prices are not too bad. They have good specials and their sushi was up to par with other Japanese restaurants. It was not too crowded when I went and the bar seemed to have a great selection of sake if you like drinking it with your beer.

Food is almost as good as their other restaurant, though a tempura dish was undercooked. Service however was the worst. You have to ask for everything. We had party of 6, and each meal came out about 10 minutes apart! Between the first

Pros: Remodeled.

Cons: Service.

Not a very nice experience in general. Food is okay, but just that. They serve tea in those giant, cheap, ugly, coffee thermoses that hotels use for conferences. I guess they are too lazy to walk around and serve more. Sushi is so-so. Our

Although Inexpensive, Noriega's Okazu Ya's service was horrid. When I entered, there were only a few patrons, and after being served tea and given our menus, we were left alone for well over 20 minutes. And after ordering, the wait time

The restaurant was recently remodeled and it looks great! It has a very modern vibe to it now. The sushi and combination lunch/dinner is good! The sashimi is fresh also.

PROS: sushi
CONS: parking

Having been to the Okazu Ya on Taraval before, we decided to go to the Noriega branch. The restaurant is fairly new and the decor is nice. We were seated immediately, but after that we were virtually ignored. We noticed larger parties

I dropped in here for some sushi. Order the chef's selection and he gave me a great mix. Very tasty, very good, and I thought it was good for the price. The environment seems nice, but you don't feel especially "at home" here. I'm not sure what it is. A little crowded, too.

PROS: Tasty sushi
CONS: Not too homey

Whenever I'm in the Sunset area or at my bro's place and want Japanese food, this is the first place that comes to mind. I'm a casual diner type of guy in my early 20s. The food is a good price for me and I like what they have. Sushi is

Pros: food/sushi

It's cheap Japanese food. Both in monetary value and quality. Some of the service is touch and go. Do not recommend the chicken teriyaki. The chicken tastes horrible. Like they just took it out of the freezer and nuked it in the microwave.

The place seem like a nice place to try. It was located in the sunset so parking wasn't that unlike the Richmond or Japantown where the other Japanese restaurants where. The place was a disappoint. The chairs and tables were wet; being touched over with a wet cloth. The portions were small considering the price. The sushi wasn't very fresh and overly expensive.
