Located right next to Landmark theaters on Villa La Jolla Drive, BJ's is a great place for pizza and beer. Whether it's barbecue chicken (which I recommend) or the Great White, the place has many signature pizzas. You can also create your own with all the regular toppings. In addition there are great entrees and appetizers including the spinach artichoke dip, sliders, garlic cheese bread, beer battered fish and chips, baby back pork ribs, and many many more items such as sandwiches and pasta. There's probably something on the menu for everyone and every taste. Another big draw is the beer made from its own brewery. The Hefeweizen is pretty good but personally I think there needs to be lemon added to it sometimes. There are also special brews that come and go with the season so make sure to try them out when their in season. The wait/line is usually long on weekends and weeknights but if you get there early enough you can get a spot. Service is nice though on busy nights it can be a hassle to get a seat as large parties of college students usually congregate there. Overall it's a nice place for a lunch or dinner with any number of people, though if it's a large group don't expect to be sitting next to each other as the size of the restaurant is actually small compared to others. But to end this, the pizookies are the best thing on the menu (in addition to the beer), with milk or white chocolate cookies and vanilla ice cream, it's the best way to end a meal, or maybe it is the meal?
