Delicious Food! Amazing portions!

by Jenna K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,052

First of all the best desserts ever are pizookies. This is an amazing creation that blends ice cream on top of fresh out of the oven and soft cookie. They come in oreo, chocolate chip, macadamia nut, and others too. I love their potato skins too!

Great Pizza!

by Darla N. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 987

BJs pizza is a family favorite. The restaurant is usually busy so we do takeout. The pizza is deep dish and the crust is wonderful and they don't use any sauce just fresh tomatos...

Pizoookies

by Tyler L. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,517

Located right next to Landmark theaters on Villa La Jolla Drive, BJ's is a great place for pizza and beer. Whether it's barbecue chicken (which I recommend) or the Great White, the place has many signature pizzas. You can also create your own with all the regular toppings. In addition there are great entrees and appetizers including the spinach artichoke dip, sliders, garlic cheese bread, beer battered fish and chips, baby back pork ribs, and many many more items such as sandwiches and pasta. There's probably something on the menu for everyone and every taste. Another big draw is the beer made from its own brewery. The Hefeweizen is pretty good but personally I think there needs to be lemon added to it sometimes. There are also special brews that come and go with the season so make sure to try them out when their in season. The wait/line is usually long on weekends and weeknights but if you get there early enough you can get a spot. Service is nice though on busy nights it can be a hassle to get a seat as large parties of college students usually congregate there. Overall it's a nice place for a lunch or dinner with any number of people, though if it's a large group don't expect to be sitting next to each other as the size of the restaurant is actually small compared to others. But to end this, the pizookies are the best thing on the menu (in addition to the beer), with milk or white chocolate cookies and vanilla ice cream, it's the best way to end a meal, or maybe it is the meal?

delicious and generous portions

by Marla T. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,522

Great salads and pizza with an open, friendly atmosphere. It might be hard to leave room for dessert but the cookie pizza is worth a little discomfort. The pizzas are deep dish and worth the wait if it's a little crowded. When you get tired of fancy food on vacation, BJ's is a great alternative.
