I stopped by Carlos Enriquez's office after my previous dentist (forgot his name) put a filling in my tooth that actually filled in a gap between my teeth. As a result, I was unable to floss without the floss snapping on the filling. I was able to go see Carlos and he fixed it immediately (not an easy fix as you would think.) Since then I have never been happier. His staff is professional and his hygentist's are thorough. He gives me feedback on what I could do to improve on my own dental hygiene and has sold me some great products (some covered under my insurance/ some not.) I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

I went to Carlos for an infected tooth and after he made a passing mention that I suffered from "bruxism", a term I associated with grinding of one's teeth, he performed a root canal and when I inquired as to the cause of my mysterious infection he told me there was no cause, just random bad luck, and nothing to be done about it by way of prevention. Soon, however, I developed pain in other teeth, and after months, spent trying to treat what I was told was inexplicable tooth pain, I revisited Carlos, who quickly diagnosed me with a sinus infection, gave me pain killers and antibiotics. Needless to say, this had no effect, and it was my own research that led me, more months later, to the conclusion I suffered from nighttime clenching type of bruxism caused by stress and anxiety. I suffered for nearly a year, untreated and misdiagnosed, because of Carlos' disinterest in solving my problem or following up on potential problems he saw in my initial visit, and simply forgetting who I was and what he'd seen.

In addition, while his cash prices are cheaper than others in the area, he and I had words over his refusal to accept my insurance without first receiving a mysterious monthly update with my name on it from my insurance company, despite that I was paying for insurance with him as my primary dentist. Rather than explain the situation calmly and rationally, Carlos and his staff repeatedly made angry ignorant dismissive statements, refused to return my calls, and when I finally went down there to speak to him directly he told me he was considering dropping my insurance company and implied it was a cheap kind of insurance for low class, low income people. I have Aetna dental, one of the largest insurance companies in the US. After that disgusting and stupid attempt at an insult I switched my entire family to a new dentist.

The Office is in poor shape and the Office staff is slow to respond to phone calls, follow-up appointments, and I have had a billing Issue with them for several months and they do not return my calls. He has no hygienist and preforms his cleaning very poorly. His check ups are not thorough and when he met with me even a few days later he had no recollection of me as a patient... not very confidence inspiring. To save money he preformed drilling work without numbing the area and then billed my insurance as if he had. he is without a doubt the worst dentist I have ever had.
