Outstanding Psychiatrist. Started, then directed the first crisis and suicide center ever associated with a university hospital in the United States or elsewhere. The Crisis Intervention Center (CIC) had it's inception at The University Of California at Irvine Medical Center in September of 1967. After directing the facility for three years, Dr. Deutsch then entered into the private practice of Psychiatry in Santa Ana, California in 1970. Concurrent with his private practice, Dr. Deutsch was Chair of Psychiatric Education at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, Ca. for 16 years. Dr. Deutsch retired from practice in Jan. of 2006.
