Not what I was expecting. Haircut was sub-par, at best, and I had to wait almost 45 minutes before I even sat in his chair, even though there was only one person in front of me.

Ratings_icons The Best

I am new to Culver City, so I had no idea where to go for a haircut. I ended up going to Camille's because I saw these reviews and I wasn't disappointed!

The atmosphere is very relaxed and Camille is very professional. He is very good at what he does! my hair is short but kind of hard to deal with, so I frequently get bad haircuts. Camille knew exactly what to do, though, and I'll be going back to him for all my haircuts. I really don't think you'll find a better haircut in the area, especially for such a reasonable price. I highly recommend Camille's.

Ratings_icons Good haircut, traditional, courteous, professional barber.

This place is a very good traditional barber shop. The experience is completely relaxing and intimate. You are not going to get any cutting edge avant garde style cuts here, but they do a very good job on men's hair and the price is very fair. I am a 37 year-old doctor and I wear my hair fairly short; you would think this would be impossible to screw up but I have had terrible haircuts in Culver City for three times the price Camille charges, and there is simply no reason to pay that much (or more). So go in, read the paper, chat a bit, or just relax and listen to some jazz. You will be glad you did. Free parking in rear behind the shops.

FYI, to combine trips, there is all sorts of shopping in this immediate vicinity, including a little kebab shop just on the other end of this row of shops where you can get a good Turkish coffee or a kebab, and a coffee shop almost next door where you can get something more American if you like. Industrial Hardware is just a few shops down the sidewalk, and there is a manicure shop next door. All sorts of big department stores right across the street, and a Centinela Pet and Feed store just a block or two up on Sepulveda after the Jefferson split.

I have been going to Camille's for over 15 years. If you want great service and quality haircut, you won't be disappointed with Camille's. I would recommend Camille's in a heartbeat. You just don't get this type of service anymore. The minute you walk in, you can just sense the pride that Camille takes in his business. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK CAMILLE!!!

Ratings_icons They treat you like you're family

I was referred to Camille about 15 years ago by my cousin and was very impressed with the personal attention of Camille and his wife, Ida. I travel 25 miles from Glendale to Culver City just to get a haircut. Not only do you get a great haircut, you also get time to relax and to enjoy interesting conversations with Camille who will always treat you like family.

Ratings_icons Quality Haircuts and Classy Service

Camille's is the best barbershop (in the classic sense of a barbershop) in L.A. I've tried other barbershops and expensive hair salons. You will not get the same personal attention, friendly atmoshere, top quality haircut, and reasonable pricing anywhere else. I've been going to Camille's for over 15 years now. My father get's his haircut there and so do my sibling. I referred family and friends to camille who've travelled from neighboring cities just to get a haircut from camille. If you're looking for a good, clean, no frills barber service, Camille's is the best place to go.

Ratings_icons A Classic Barber

I've been going to Camille for over 15 years. Simply put, you would be hard pressed to find a better barber anywhere. He is a gentle, soft spoken individual who makes getting a haircut a real pleasure. His style and manner are such that I usually want to take a nap right there in the chair. Camille is a meticulous craftsman - when you watch him work you know that you are in the hands of a classic barber. For those who are looking for a taste of what a great barbershop is like, come to Culver City and spend a few moments with Camille. You won't be disappointed!

Ratings_icons Old World Service - New World Charm

Dirk G.

It was sheer luck to find Camille, call it luck of the draw, but he is a fantastic find for anyone who appreciates attention to detail. If you are looking for a quick buzz, "move um in move um out" barber this is not the place. Camille takes his time with every customer providing old-world service which apparently is a dying art. His shop is always extremely clean and well lit with very new state-of-the-art equipment. He does however still have the old-world straight blade for a hot towel shave that one will never forget. If you have never had a barber's shave, you don't know what you are missing, especially from Camille. Camille and his wife are very friendly and helpful, they accommodate reservations as best as they can which helps those with a busy schedule. Even though I live in Santa Monica, I will always make the trip to Culver City because it is more than worth it.

Ratings_icons Quite possibly the perfect barbershop experience

Marcus H. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,269

When I went to Camille's on a friend's recommendation, I knew that I had made the right choice. The shop was brightly tiled, sunny, and airy. Tasteful and well-selected classical music played on the sound system. The barber, Camille Nouni, took his time cutting and shaping my hair. He also gave me a shave with hot towels. It was one of the more relaxing experiences I've had in a while. Now I understand why men used to go to a barbershop once a week to get a shave.

I have a very traditional (and very short) haircut; I have no idea how Camille would handle longer or more modern styles. Also, sadly, he only does men's hair.
