Buckelew Sara Md - Bayside Medical Group

Let me start by saying that my son was seeing a doctor who currently works for Bayside Medical, Inc, and is the same doctor that I was seen by as a child. My son is 3 weeks old today and we have been in for a watch on jaundice as well as an eye infection he has had since birth. I received a letter from Bayside's business office that Bayside and my doctor will no longer accept my son as a patient. I was floored to say the least as I could not come up with a reason for this. I have known this doc for many years and have had NO problems in the past or present with either the doctor or the company. I called the number supplied for their business office to inquire and was told I need to speak to "Mark", the administrator who was out of the office. The next business day I called Mark and left a voice message to call me. He returned my call late in the afternoon and had a chip on his shoulder from the moment I answered the phone. I inquired as to why this decision was made. He answered "I don't have to give you a reason." I was dumbfounded as to why I was being treated in this manner. I said to Mark that I feel as though I deserve an explanation and again in a snide tone he responded that by law all he had to do was give me 30 days notice, he did not have to give a reason. I told him he was unprofessional and his conduct was unbecoming of a "administrator". I am still confused as to why this happened and feel extremely betrayed.
