Malcolm X Elementary School

The students at Malcolm X Arts magnet are exposed to the arts via music and the theatre mixed with their regular curriculum. Several times during the year the students put on musicals and mid, and end of the year school plays.

They also have a garden where the students grow, and take care of flowers and plants.

The active PTA helps with several fundraisers which allow for field trips, a good selection of after school classes for the children.

I attended Malcolm X about 15 years ago from 4th to 6th grade. It is an excellent school with many art and music programs. It was where I took up playing the violin which I still play now and have recieved awards and scholarships from. The school is in a good district and has great teachers who are committed to teaching. The Gilbert and Sullivan program is a travels and performs plays so join if you can!
