Prepare to experience a fun and tasty meal at Sy's. You'll be amazed how much a few dollars will buy at this place. It is located off Visalia's Lincoln Oval, just North of Visalia's popular Main Street and easily accessible from HW198. Sy-Salathai has plentiful seating for large parties in an eclectic and relaxed atmosphere. I've enjoyed Arigh's humor and love the fact that he not only speaks fluent Lao and English but also Spanish. The owners have young children who are often hanging out in the restaurant so it's a great place to bring kids and babies. Prepare to have plenty of left-overs! Bring a re-usable container instead of their styrofoam (better storage and more eco). They will prepare to-go orders but call well in advance. No reservations required but I also recommend you call and order in advance for large parties unless you're willing to relax for a while.

A place I frequent when I spend time for work down in Visalia. It's a few blocks back from Main Street in. Good Thai/Lao food owned and operated by a Lao family...they keep a table in the back of the dining room for the family's use. There are always a few of the teenage kids or aunts and uncles sitting back there, chatting, watching TV, and dealing with family business. Great food and authentic, spicy, flavorful food.
