All three of my children went to Holly Oak School. There are many wonderful things about Holly Oak. It is registered as a "Day Care Home", so there are up to 12 kids and 2 adults at any given time. Also, most day care homes have limited space for their children. Usually it's the living room, kitchen and backyard. Holly Oak is a wonderful property in that there are two homes on the lot. The entire main house is dedicated to the school. There are 3 "bedrooms" which are used for the kids-the "block room" is where all the blocks, cars, animals, trains, etc. are, the "nap room", where the children who nap sleep and where they play on rainy days, and the "dress up" room where the dress up clothes and kitchen toys are. There is also a large living room area with the books, puzzles and other manipulatives. The "dining room", or art room, is where the kids eat snack and lunch as well as do art projects. Then there is the huge backyard equipped with trykes, play structures, grass area and a sandbox. There is plenty of room and space for the kids to thrive. Along with the wonderful layout of the school, the teachers that are there are exceptional. It is the same women running the school and caring for the kids from the beginning. They are loving and feel that their job is to nuture the children and give them a safe and loving environment in order for them to develop. The philosophy of Holly Oak is that children learn through play. Children are also taught to use their words to help them resolve conflict and that the teachers are there to help them, if needed. All of my children were incredibly well prepared for Kindergarten, my last one will start this fall. They are/were all well-rounded, social and academically ready for kindergarten.
Holly Oak is also extremely affordable and the hours of care are very flexible. They are one of the few child care providers that allow part-time care. Holly Oak is an excellent choice for child care.

My son has attended this school for one year and really enjoys it. The school is small (allows enrollment for 12 kids) and is mixed age from 2-5 years. There are weekly music classes and plenty of time for free play. The teachers have all been there for many years and this kids really like them. Holly Oak is based in a four-bedroom home that has been converted to a school. Other pluses include flexibile schedules/pick-up times.
