Ratings_icons Cream of green chile!!!!

Duarte's cream of green chile soup is delicious, especially when paired with their fresh, still warm sourdough / French bread. The price has soared in the last few years, or I would give 5 stars. Their fried oyster sandwich is also very good. Good atmosphere.

Ratings_icons Out of this World!!

This is pretty much one of my favorite places ever to eat. Their bread, pies, and soups are all homemade. They have pickled things from their garden that's out back. Their Artichoke and Chile soups are amazing. They are even better if you mix them. I would suggest the peach cobbler, the olallaberry pie, and the apple pies.
I have always had amazing food and service here!!!

Ratings_icons Funky Tavern Serves Up Yummy Food

Janis B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,854

This is a great place to get in out of the coastal chill. Order a cocktail at the bar and stay for lunch or dinner. Portions are large and food is imaginative and good. Plenty of familiar choices, as well as truly original options. They're famous for their artichoke soup and the crab sandwich is muy delish. Great people watching, too. Lots of locals, lots of tourists. Always busy, so you may have to wait, but service is speedy and friendly.

Ratings_icons Love the Pie and the Soup!

It's a tavern, bar, and restaurant all in one. The people are relaxed, service is great, and the food is delicious. If you go here, I would get the food that you can't get elsewhere such as the cream of artichoke soup or oyster stew. Both are just amazing and come with wonderful warm homemade bread! The last time I went there, I was smart and ordered a bowl of soup and had pie for dessert. I was stuffed. If you order a full meal, be prepared to take a piece of pie home. They have several pies but they are famous for their ollalieberry pie -- to die for. Their strawberry rhubarb is also great -- not too sweet.

Love love love this place.
