I am a fan of "Keeping Up Appearances" That quintissential English comedy starring Patricia Routledge as "Hyacinth Bucket" (pronounced Bouquet) and when I went in, I could hardly keep myself from asking the store clerk if they had any Royal Doulton china with handpainted periwinkles, like Hyacinth brags on and on about on the show. That aside, I saw why she liked that china.
Simply beautiful and not too expensive. My friend and I were looking for a serving plate for stuffed eggs (the kind you serve at afternoon tea). They had several very nice ones to choose from. And the staff was quite helpful in telling us all of the styles that have those kinds of serving plates.
It made me wanna get me some china! But I would use them every day. Why wait for an important event to eat on china? Every day is special!
