I've been going to Dolores for several years, usually when highly intoxicated. The new management has made great effort to clean the place up and is shows. Still not the best place in town, but certainly not the worst. The dessert menu is what keeps me coming back. They have those giant cinnamon rolls just like Grandma used to make.

This restaurant just had a face-lift since getting new management. My boyfriend and I sort of liked the old Dolores with the rundown diner charm and menu. The new place is good and the service is less weird. They have a large menu with decent prices. If you're looking for good diner food then I'd probably tell you to go a few blocks down to the 50's Cafe but if that place is packed (which it normally is) then this is a good option.

I used to go for the Jumbo Jim burger. My dad used to take there when we were kids. The new owner changed the menu, and also hired a cook that couldn't get eggs, bacon and hash browns right when there were 3 other people in the place.

Maybe I have not paid much attention to what resturaunts charge for soft driinks, but $3.75 caught my attention as exhorbitant for a mediocore class of ice tea. It gets worse. My boyfriend ordered an open faced roast beef sandwich

I'm not a diner fan first off- but this place is just kinda nasty through & through. It doesn't have the ambiance or character to make it a decent experience and the prices are well- eh. If you need a late night snack at a diner. drive 4 blocks or so to Izzy's. They are open 24hours at least and at least you'll have the occasional star sighting!
