This is my first time dining here since the remodel and this was written on a smart phone so please excuse any errors. Appearance I give a 2 out of 5 the building looks great but getting a bar menu with mold growing on it is offf putting to say the least. Nice selection of tequila and my hornitos margarita was good. The bar service was so so but nice. The chips came warm but stale, salsa was good. I received my food on a sizzling steel plate with no silverware. The presentation left a lot to be desired, they were slow and it looked like my food had been slopped on the plate in rush complete with a dirty plate with wipe smears and previously cooked on food and a bunch of dried food under the rim. As for the food it was about what I expected. Steak-over cooked but good flavor, very small portion. Guacamole-very boring, under-seasoned and bland. Rice and beans- boring as well, undistinguishable from pre fabed. Overall I would say that they are a small town attempted clone of Chevys. I would come back for drinks but never for food.

Maria's is consistently good. I love their green/red salsa combo, beware it's not for the faint of heart. They make awesome enchilada's and chile colorado.

I have been going to Maria's for my entire 20 years of life. Their food is consistently good, and service is always great! Endless bread and chips that are so good, I can never eat more than a few bites of my yummy food. Good thing Mexican food makes great left overs.

What can I say about Maria's? This is one of my favorite restaurants in town! Fast service, great food at a great price. Big menu with lots of choices. This place is always packed, but it is worth the wait. The marinated chicken salad is wonderful!

When I moved to grassvalley about 6 month ago my fiance took me to Maria's for my first outing. he recomended the chicken enchiladas, and a margarita it was fabulas and the sevice was great, they sat us at a booth of in the back it was kinda private and from then on we pretty much decided that was our place and would definatly be returning offen. The second visit they refused to let us request our table, so okay not such a big deal, The next visit was really horrible our chicken enchilada's raw, and the margarita's were falling down at the way side thur all visits, third trip we decided we will not be returning, the margarita's were so horrible we sent them back to be remade and the second try was worse then the first. Then the third attempt was getting tiresome because the manager even attempted and the I just asked for a shot of tequila for my fiance drink. The restaurant was not that busy, but it was taking a long time for our food to come we went thur 3 baskets of chip and salsa before our food arrived because of the long wait by then we were full and not impressed with the way the server handled the whole visit, My fiance was mad and vowed never to take me there again because that being at one time our place is what we called it was just not keeping its good standards of food and spirits to what were used to. I have worked in the restaurant buisness for about 25 years myself and am very generous in giving the restaurant and severs the edge, but this is just to many mistakes on 3 to 4 of my visits. I'am really bummed too because the food is really good, what happend Maria's..

Pros: local, parking

Cons: margarita's, raw food at times

Food is average, tasty but nothing special. Seated promptly and served quickly.
