Fabulous LA Salon!  5 Star Rating - World class

I have one reason everyone should go to Chop Chop.....and her name is Helen! She was my hair stylist when I lived in LA, and I would recommend her over anyone I've ever been to....ever!!! She has the talents to make everyone look and feel great. The salon is fun and simple with great music and good service. The other stylists are also fun and fashionable. Everyone that leaves the salon looks great. The prices are high, but worth it. Their product line is quality and the hair cuts I've received are to die for.

Great haircuts, reasonable prices, no "attitude."  5 Star Rating - World class

Got my first cut here from the owner, Darin. Never had anyone take such care with a cut! He asked me a ton of questions about how much time I want to spend on styling, checked out how my hair fell (cowlicks and such), asked me how I wanted it parted. Then, gave me the coolest, edgiest shaggy bob--exactly what I've always wanted and NEVER gotten from any other stylist. Took his time and cut the back perfectly (wet) then cut the front dry. Showed me different ways to style it form very "punky" to more conservative. Also NO pressure to buy products or get additional services, unlike many other salons. Just a fabulous experience--a superb bargain at $100 for a cut that looks like those Beverly Hills jobs you'd pay triple the price for--and without the snotty attitude so many of those shops exibit. All the employees are super friendly--and even give you coffee or tea in real china cups or glass tumblers. Not to mention cool art on the walls, too. I am certain to be a return customer--I feel like I finally found "The Salon" for me after much trial and error. Hooray!

PROS: Talented stylists who treat regular folks like stars!
CONS: None.

viva la kate!!!!!!!  5 Star Rating - World class

not only did the salon remember who i was the second time i went in, they remembered exactly how i like my iced tea. i followed my styist kate over from her previous salon because she's the only one who knows how to cut my hair the way i like it. but, at the same time she adds that little something extra that only kate knows how to do. i must say, i get extra long looks from the ladies every time i'm out after a trim!! no one else takes as much pride in her work and goes that extra mile to make her clients feel so good about themselves than kate!! viva la kate!!!!

Darin is a genious with hair! I've been seeing him for a couple of years now and he's never done me wrong. He does great short cuts and also really sexy long hair. The salon is very upscale with a down to earth vibe. Chop Chop is also a gallery so scope the walls for some great local artist's work. The staff is friendly and very attentive. They also give a discount for KCRW card.

Great people and professional!! 5 Star Rating - World class

After having different people at different salons do my hair (color, cut, straighten, etc.), it was Chop Chop that made me feel more welcome and comfortable. I knew that as soon as I walked in, it was going to be a great experience. A bad hair day is a terrible day as we all know and I knew I would be very satisfied. Juli did my color and I still get compliments to this day! She cares about her work and wants to make sure you will be happy. If she doesn't think a style or color will work, she won't do it. She is here for you and takes pride in her work. Darin has the friendly smile and all the other stylists will make you feel right at home. The only negative is the parking, but you deal with it. It is so worth it. Come to Chop Chop!!!!

Best Color Anywhere 5 Star Rating - World class

I have been getting my hair colored by Juli for the past 3 years...and I get compliments everyday on how great the color is! She is so cautious in protecting my long hair..and it is still healthy and long after the color! I have moved back to the East Coast but will still be visitng ChopChop in LA specifically for my hair color by Juli!!!!

Pros: Great Color

so much fun 5 Star Rating - World class

Everyone is really friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Last time I went I had Amy cut my hair and Juli did the color - both were amazing. I've been to Juli a few times, and I always love how my hair turns out. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but totally worth it. I will be recommending Juli to all of my friends, and sending everyone I know to Chop Chop.

Pros: friendly people, great stylists, Juli

super hot! 5 Star Rating - World class

Just had my hair done at chopchop salon. Darin, the owner, gave me a super cool cut. It was just what I was looking for. Something super hot and classic. I also had my highlights done with a colorist named Troy. This was one of the only times I asked for something subtle and it didn't come out looking too over the top. In a word, Perfect. This guy knew exactly what I wanted. He said it would last six months. I will be back way before then.I highly recommend both of them. The salon also has a very cool and unpretenous vibe about it. Not like Bev. Hills at all. Beware the parking though. Make sure you ask the front desk for a timer so you don't get a ticket.

Cons: parking-one hour meter

Ask for Thy! 5 Star Rating - World class

If you're like me, extremely attractive and in need of a decent haircut, fear no more. Thy (pronounced like tea) is the woman to handle the job. I've been using her for my styling needs for over 3 years, and I can't say that she's ever left a single hair out of place! Visit ChopChop and ask for Thy, you won't be disappointed and you'll have enough dough leftover to buy a couple of hotdogs down the street at Pinks!

Pros: Thy
Cons: people who aren't Thy
