Good food. There was only 1 waiter for 4 groups. He was attentive and answered all the questions we had. The portions are good and prices were reasonable.

TOT (Teishokuya of Tokyo) is located near Japanese Village in Little Tokyo. They offer a wide variety of casual Japanese dishes like teishoku, bowls and combos. I had Tofu salad and Avocado Tuna Bowl. They were both delicious and portion was just right for me. Prices are reasonable. It is great place to stop by for lunch and dinner.

I drive from the valley just to go to this place and I hate driving in the downtown area. They have a magical tofu bowl, which I get all the time, and my husband loves the tuna tuna bowl. The place is so reasonably priced and the food

Pros: Everything.

Cons: I wish there was one in the valley.

I really like the sushi bowls here. I got the eel one, and basically it had all the ingredients of eel sushi in a bowl, without the seaweed. It looked quite pleasing and was delicious. The green tea ice cream wasn't bad either. The place was cozy and a decent size. The service was not bad; you just have to catch their attention.

The food is tasty here and the facilities are very clean but the service seems to be a on the slow side. Once you receive your food don't expect your server to come by again until it's time to pay.

When you're sick of being snubbed by the "sushi nazi" and sky-high tabs for so-so Japanese food, TOT is the place to go. Tucked away in downtown L.A., TOT is popular for its inexpensive daily specials (which are first-comed, first served

Pros: inexpensive, tasty food, casual

A few reviews in guidebooks described TOT as a place with japanese favorites with a modern twist. There was no twist.

Dry grilled chicken, watery miso soup, annoying music, all below average. Not recommended.

Best food in Little Tokyo! They have an amazing spicy tofu bowl and tuna bowl that is huge and comes with miso and salad for a very affordable price. Excellent tofu! Large menu and nice decor. A staple of downtown lunch.
