I am very thankful to all that work at Apple Valley Equine Hospital. I had taken my horse to several hospitals to find his problems. It was found and treated at this hospital. They still see and care for my horse. I can expect honest, expert advise from Dr. Lenhert and Dr. Johnson. Thanks again for just being there.

Dr Lenhert has been seeing my horses since I moved to Apple Valley in 2000. He diagnosed my stallion with a paralyzed larynx. He recommended a doctor in Norco to do the surgery and advised me of my options. I had the surgery performed and my stallion is doing very good. This summer my stallion tied up just before I was getting ready to head for the Pinto World Show. Dr Lenhet got my stallion in on an emergency call and to gether we all made it through and my stallion is doing fine. I have 9 horses and I am gretful that we have such a good vetrenarian in our community.

I first met Dr. Lenhert when I was taking an Equine Science class at Victor Valley College. Our teacher, I guess, knew him and the two of them arranged for him to give us a tour of his facility. Despite the insanely busy man that he was, he took the time to do so and we got to go around and see awesome things. He led us into the back where he was using his surgery table as a table to lay out all sorts of visual aids (x-rays, bones, anatomy charts...) as he gave us a lecture on lamanitis and founder. He was so clear, so interesting, and easy to understand. With the visual aids it was really easy to picture what he was talking about.

Later on, when I got a horse, I had him come out and check her out because she was thin and sickly. I really, really enjoyed his visit. We share a common interest in equine anatomy, medical jargon, and the like, so I picked his brain for all it was worth. I think he likes it when somebody shows an interest in equine medicine, but then again, most doctors like it when somebody actually gives a hoot about what they do.

I would say this vet's strengths are being personable and non threatening as well as making it easy for you to understand your horse's body and why whatever it is, is not working like it should.

I wish every teacher could teach as good as him.

I have been taking my horses to Dr. Lenhert since I bought my first colts in June of 2007. I am very pleased with all his knowledge, professionalism and support. He's a very kind, caring veterinarian and I'm blessed to have his help whenever I need it.

Dr Lenhert and his staff provide outstanding service. I regularly take our thoroughbred rescues there for a general evaluation, and also whenever possible our urgent cases. I've received thorough and clear written reports that I can show our clients, and Dr Lenhert is also immediately responsive to my phonecalls. Although Lenhert no longer takes offsite calls, the hospital now has an additional doctor that will do so - and we've also been very happy with this treatment of one of our mares. A little expensive - but worth every penny.

I take all of my horses to Dr. Lenhert. He is very knowledgable and great with the horses and owners. His staff is great and very compassionate, especially after I had to put my pony down. They really do care for the horses.

Needed to have my mare checked to see if she was in foal while she was staying with the owners of the stallion. Nice doctor, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Excellent facility! Took very good care of my mare and found out that she had 2 babies and took care of everything when I wasn't able to be there, would recommend to anyone in the area or not in the area.

AVEH is the best in the area! Dr. Lenhert is very complete in his exams and is always open to questions and more then happy to explain any proceedures. I was a bit bummed when he no longer was doing house calls but they now have a vet working out of the hospital doing house calls who also is a wonderful and very knowledgable vet. I have been working with AVEH for many years and will continue to use their great quality services!!
