J J Norths Grand Buffet

I worked here for the summer months in 2003. I was a hostess and cashier. The other hostess' were friendly with the customers, even to one another. I ate here myself on breaks and even brought my sister and nephew with me once for breakfast. They loved it! I loved it! My favorite was the salad bar...fried chicken with hot sauce...yum! Never had carrot cake until I worked there and do I love me some carrot cake. Trust me it's clean. I spent my time cleaning after closing time. Sad to see that it was closed down...I know the regulars weren't too happy about that. I enjoyed singing to customer's if it was their birthday. All the hostess' would bring out a slice of cake, light it with a candle and all sing. (Only if a customer would recommend us to do this.) All around great people, the workers and customers.

J J North's is now out of business. Replacing it is King's Buffet, some type of Chinese buffet. But anyway, I used to go to J J North's every week. Their cinnamon rolls were the best! The salad bar was mediocre, but still satisfactory I guess. It's too bad that they are no longer here.

My papa was a construction worker and he was one of the people who built this place. Ive been eating here since I was 7 years old. My gradma used to take me every weekend. I highly recommend this place. The selection of food is excellent and the service and prices are great.

PROS: good food,clean,prices are good,
CONS: nothing

My grandpa took me my very first time without no one in the family knowing. It was so funny. He said he was going to take me out but I cant tell anyone. :) When I ate there it was good food. It was cheaper than most all you eat places.
