It?s my favorite neighborhood coffee house in Long Beach. Forget the commercial popular coffee places all over town. This has the perfect? very hip-cool place and feel you want with an artsy vibe, eclectic decor in the artsy part of a quiet neighborhood in Long Beach. It has the perfect warm lighting feel at night in doors and has comfortable old furniture. Not too darkly lit and not too bright so you can?t relax. They have free Wi-Fi, and computers to rent if you need to use one. Everyone from Firemen, Police officers, college types and tattooed friends all hang out here. It?s great.

Pros: Great looking inside

Cons: It can be busy at times...but you still want to wait like you do at "IN and OUT"

The place is pretty big. Even though, it was busy when we came in we did not have a problem finding a place to sit and work. The location of the coffeehouse is also great to find other places to eat in for lunch or dinner. There is a salon right next door, w/ an interconnecting door w/ the coffeehouse if you so desired to go get a haircut. It was good place to go to and work or to sit and chitchat with friends.

This is the kinda coffee shop you want to be at if you are at all interested in art or at least into ideas. There is no reason to read about postmodernism in starbucks.

This is the best place to go if you're looking for fun, good vibes, and meeting people. You can check out games from the bar, you can stare at the up-close photography on the walls and try to guess what the overgrown pictures are - that's why they are there! There are so many people to talk to and things to read, play, watch, and do there! Velvet chairs, interesting art work, and the best coffee in town! Near the area that brought the best back yard Sublime parties of the 90's! It's the symbol of an era!

PROS: The best of Long Beach!

This place is not only filled with a great atmosphere and vibe, it also has the best Ice Blended Mochas I have ever had. My brother lives in San Diego, whenever he visits, this is a place he has to go. If you get a chance, try the food too...De- Licious!

PROS: Best Ice blended Mochas!!!!
CONS: Parking can be difficult

Last weekend I went on a date here and knowing his taste I was sure the place would be pretty cool. I showed up a little early to grab a coffee and had the pleasure of making the most pointless and playful small talk with the Asian 80's throwback of a barista. The other fellow sitting there threw me a few smiles while I rambled shamelessly and quietly decided that I would return again.
The coffee house shares a glass door with a trendy hair salon and it somehow seems appropriate; Leather couches, ratty barstools, coffee tables, lounging chairs all make for eye candy as writers (nakedly observing passer Byers), pretty young high school kids and college freshman flirt, talk and read classics. The evening ended with a large Goth crowd arriving right on cue, as a girl playing piano in the back room ended her set and with a reverent clapping and clicking of fingers made her way off the quaint stage.
