Last week, I brought my car in to my friend's brake shop (Mission Muffler & Brake in Hayward) for a routine brake pad replacement on my wife's Audi. The initial inspection uncovered much more serious problems. It turned out that I desperately needed new rotors, an all wheel alignment, and four new tires. The wheel alignment was so bad, that all 4 tires were completely worn on the inside edge, dangerously exposing the steel belts. Suddenly, my expected expense skyrocketed from a couple hundred dollars to well over $1000.
I was in shock and had no idea where to go for a quick fair deal on tires and wheel alignment. My friend told me the Big O Tires located at 3500 Foothill Blvd in Oakland would take care of me. I called and asked if they could accommodate me so late in the day. They agreed to take me with less than an hour before closing time. When I got there, the owner cheerfully greeted me and showed me a great deal on new tires and promised to get the whole job done quickly. They saved me over two hundred dollars on what I expected to pay.
While in the waiting room, I saw a guy pull into the shop with a flat tire. Big O Tires repaired his flat in only a few minutes, and when the guy approached the cashier, the owner told him there was no-charge since he was a past customer.
Big O Tires replaced all of my tires and completed the alignment in well under an hour. When I thanked the owner for his GREAT customer service that I experience and witnessed, he humbly stated that's how he treated all of his customers.
You know I'll be back!!!
