Great Dental Office!

I had a horrible toothache. I called this dental office and they immediately accommodated me the same day. I was referred to a specialist for a root canal and later had a crown done. It was the best experience I had at a dental office in a long time. I was immediately put at ease by their professional staff. All procedures and expenses were explained to me fully.

I would highly recommend this dental office!

I love this dental office! Everyone is SO nice here and Dr. Le is so patient and caring. She really makes you feel comfortable and takes a lot of interest in doing the best for your oral health. You can tell that she is passionate about her business. Very reasonably priced too compared to other dentists!

This office used to be pretty good until Tram Le took over. I went here for years but changed dentists because of the way it is now operated.

The prices change upon every visit, they even started charging me for cleanings which are supposed to be free. I used to get email reminders of appointments, but those stopped.

I also had a situation where my composite filling seemed like it needed to be fixed, but they claimed that they didn't perform the filling. After a while, they then admitted it being done there, but said it was OK. My new dentist told me the filling was not done properly and needs to be done over.

The only reason I gave 2 stars, is because the hygienists are excellent. But Ms. Tram Le (I refuse to call her a doctor), needs to reevaluate her practice.

I'm not sure about the people who have rated this center with a one star I received a three star service. I appreaciate the dentist conerns and explanation. It was my first visit I arrived early waited for about 15mins got xrays done and came back for my procedures. Here's the part that I'm still not sure if it was my fault or the receptionist BUT from what I understood I was only going to pay $75.00 which I thought was a deal for dental work anyhow before they begin any work I was presented with the actual amount $675.00 and since I wasn't prepare to pay for it I decided to leave but come back later and was charged a cancelation fee of $25.00.Basicaly make sure you completely understand your payment obligation. I plan on going back once I'm in a better financial situation. Oh and if you can't pay ask about Care Credit.

I have very poor dental insurance so the cost of services is very important to me. All my insurance paperwork was done properly and efficiently. My dental work to date from this office has been root planing, numerous crowns and a few cavities. The dental work is top notch with care taken to avoid pain when possible, but we all know sometimes pain is an unavoidable part of dental work. Although this office indeed requests up front payment for dental work, I requested and was cheerfully given a payment plan for a vast array of treatments. Basically it seems to me as long as you stay just a bit ahead of current for extended ttreatments then you are fine. I highly recommend this establishments doctors and staff. The service received versus dental cost is the best ratio I have received anywhere in San Diego over a thirty year period.

wow...wish i had read these reviews before I ever set foot in this dental office! I am in the middle of a huge billing cluster f**k Not only do they ask for up front money(not per Delta Dental contract agreement) but their whole billing process is extremely shady. Overbilling for services that in no way corelate with the delta statement, billing for services we did not receive , "fudging" charges to Delta once I filed a greivence so that it looks like i am just a complainer....not to mention how rude and condecending the office staff have been (placed on terminal hold, then cut off- which they must find hillarious!) DON'T USE THIS OFFICE!!

I hadn't been to the dentist in nearly 3 years so I was very nervous. I found Tierra Towne Dental Center through my insurance company and was very pleased with my experience. I had to wait about 30 minutes after my appointment time before I was seen but the comprehensive exam (where they did all sorts of x-rays) only took about an hour. I was seen by a hygienist and then by the dentist. All in all, I was there about an hour and a half, so expect to reserve at least that much time for your visit. My second visit for the cleaning (which was easily scheduled for the next day) was equally painless. Everyone at this office is very friendly, helpful and professional. I definitely recommend their practice to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Like most people I was hesitant to find a new dentist and schedule an appt... putting it off for years. Upon my first call, I found the receptionist/front desk girl a little off-putting. She didn't seem to understand the questions I was asking and didn't explain things in a friendly manner. I was just trying to figure out what they would do at a first appointment with a new person and how much it would cost. And I was surprised to be told that they wouldn't be doing a cleaning (because they didn't know what type of cleaning I would need and how long it would take, having never seen my mouth) and that the xrays and exam would take two hours. But, I scheduled the appointment anyway. The first day I was there was a busy day and I did have to wait for a good half hour before being seen. But, with the wait, I had the x rays done and the exam all within the two hours they told me. I liked the Dr. and staff (except the girl that does appts.) very much and felt very involved in the care of my teeth. I was told I had two small cavities that would need to be taken care of. And we discussed some cosmetic work that I was thinking about doing. They actually didn't suggest whitening my teeth, they said I have a nice color. Someone added up all the costs for the future cleaning (diagnosed at the first appt/exam), the cavity treatment, and the cosmetic work and retainer that I requested. They did offer a discount for paying in advance which I took and paid. Of course, I could have gone on a payment plan. But it did seem to be required that I pay for everything in advance even though some of the work would be done over 2 month's time. My 2nd appt for cleaning and cavities was fantastic, less wait, friendly, no pain. And I am proceeding with the cosmetic work now. No one likes the dentist. No one likes to spend money on dental work. No one likes to wait. But all in all I am happy so far.

I'll keep this brief. After reading a couple of the previous reviews, i have to comment about my experience with this dental practice.I did read some of the previous comments, and I have to say my experience was quite different. Or maybe, diffferent people interpret things differently. I arrived for my 1st visit, and was presented with paperwork. Upon completion, i had xrays taken, and soon after my exam. Of course there was wait time, while they processed my forms, and my xrays, but I was informed from the beginning that my appt would take about 2 hours, so I expected this time. Once the doctor told me what I needed, he explained everything, and kindly answered all my questions, and asured me my work could be completed in a timely manner. No, I didnt have a cleaning on my 1st visit, but again, I was told that I wouldnt from the beginning. A nice girl went over all of my treatment, and explained how my insurance worked, andwhat I would ave to pay for my treatment. This is where opinions may differ. yes, I was given the option to pay up front, which would entitle me to a discount, but when I told them I couldnt do that, I was given several other options. But imagine you made a reservation at a fine restaurant, or hotel, or surgery. A lot of businesses ask for a deposit ahead of time to ensure your commitment to a reserved time, or place. Why sould a dental office be any different. They are a business after all, with prescious time and other patients to see. Some people feel so entitled to free work these days, and need to realize things arent the way they used to be. I am very happy with this office. My other complaint is the cost of my care. And guess what...That issue is with my insurance plan, not Tierra Town Dental.

My family and I have been seaching everywhere for a good dentist. After a few months of researching different offices my friend Gabby recommended I come to Tierra Town Dental. As a new patient I was suprised to find that it didn't feel like another dental experience, the staff and dentists take the time to talk to me about what I want! I would truly recommend this dental office to anyone who is looking for a good office.

This has been the best experience that I've had in a long time. I've recently moved from out of state and was quite nervous about seeing a new dentist since I knew my last dentist since I was a child. But, after meeting the doctors and staff I'm relieved that I chose this office. I 've had a chance to read the other reviews and notice that complainers come a dime a dozen and no one ever gives credit to others when credit is due! At my appointment the doctor listened to my needs and educated me in every aspect. It's hard to find good quality doctors nowadays!

After nearly 3 months of research I decided to visit Terrasanta Family Dental for some dental work. I have been on this website as well as many others to read reviews on dental offices and was a little reluctant to chose them as my primary dentist due to the remarks left by other patients. I usually don't always believe what was left by other reviewers therefore I wanted to check out the office for myself. There are a couple of reasons why I chose TFD. I chose them because one of my friends is a patient there and the office came highly recommended. More importantly they are walking distance from my house. I have to admit that I was a little more critical than usual due to the previous comments and I have to say that this office is world class, the staff was wonderful and accommodating. Dr. Kristian was very professional and took his time with me and explained everything that needed to be performed for my root canal and crown. I had put off this dental visit due to my fear but he assured me that everything was going to be fine. He is the best dentist that I have ever had. I will definitely recommend this office to all of my friends.

This office wasn't all that bad, in fact, I actually prefer this office over the last offices I've been to. I usually am really picky with what I expect from my healthcare providers and this office has top notch dentists. During my exam I was informed with what I needed and was able to see everything with my very own eyes! My last dentist was older and very old fashioned. He never really cared to monitor and maintain my teeth until it was time to get the tooth taken out! The dentists here were really great because I was able to get the big picture! Dentistry is not cheap but after reading the reviews before I bet these guys are going to pay for it in the long run! Don't count this office out you coud miss a good thing!

This dental office is run by monkeys and robots. They took 4 hours for my first appointment, taking X-rays and telling me how many cavities I had and asking me if I wanted my teeth whitened. Then they proceeded to bring in their money-grabbing robot, that insisted that I agree to pay before getting a filling, and I should get the most expensive filling because I SHOULD, and also, did I want my teeth whitened?? After agreeing to the filling, I actually got a teeth cleaning! This was about hour number 3. Did I want my teeth whitened?? After joining my S.O. in the lobby, she tells me that she never got a cleaning, because she refused the fillings. But she did decide to use this robot-office to get bridge work done the next summer, despite my objections. So, they insist she MUST get the most expensive type of bridge - lava- and she MUST pay for it at the first appointment - not when the bridge was actually created - and it cost $8,000. I called to object, they insisted it was 'monkey office policy' to pay at the start. Fine. The DAY OF the bridge installation, they call 2 hours before the appointment to say that the bridge is too large to be lava - it has to be the next lower type of bridge - and it will take 3 more weeks to create. The upside is there is a 'substantial refund' due to me, because it is the cheaper bridge. How much? They can't say right now, they have to run the numbers. When can I get my refund - since I had to pay upfront before the work was done, my thinking is that it should be easy to process a refund. WRONG. Surprised? 4-8 weeks to get back money that they shouldn't have in the first place. Guess what? Getting the $8,000 together was not instantaneous, even though I had no choice about it. Asking these morons questions is like talking to babies who only know one word - "MONEY". The customer service is atrocious, they could care less about apologies for inconvenience, they are only nice to you when they want money. AVOID THIS OFFICE!

I waited 45 minutes while my insurance was verified, even though I provided them with the information when I scheduled the appointment.

One of the front office clerks was applying make-up while I waited.

My exam room was beside the room where x-rays were taken, and kids were running in and out of my room while waiting for exams.

Overall, an unsatisfactory experience. I made up an excuse and got the heck out of there!

I recently moved to the San Diego area, and was surprised to find practically a dentist on every corner! When i searched for a preferred dental provider on my insurance plan, I found Tierra Town Dental. When I finally put aside my fear, and called to make my appointment, i was pleased to fnd that they were able to get me in for an exam within the same week. Once I went in and saw the dentist, they quickly scheduled mt to return for my cleaning and the rest of my dental work. They were flexible, and tried to accomodate my work schedule as best they could. My only request which would have given them a perfect 10!!! is if they would offer later evening hours or weekends.

I was pleasantly surprised, after leaving my former family dentist of 12 years, to find that there are actually other good dentists out there! Who'd have known. like most people i'm sure, I was very hesitant to go to the new dental office, but the staff at Tierra Town Dental was very welcoming. It was a little busy my first visit, but after that, my visits were very pleasant. I saw many happy patients come in and out during my series of visits with them, and a lot of them were happy children too. i would definatley recommend them to my friends and family.
A very happy Ms Rosey

I recently visited Tierra Town Dental, and after hearing some unsettling things in the past about the office that was there prior, I was hesitant, but because they were on my insurance list, i gave them a try. The front office staff was very friendly and made me feel at home. The dentist I saw, Dr. Cabugao, was very nice, and made sure I understood all of my dental needs. The staff did their best to schedule my appointments at times that were convenient to me. As it turns out, since the office has been under new ownership, there is extreme improvement. Im glad I took a leap of faith.

This dentist and his front office staff are the rudest and unfriendly group of people. They charge patients for services not rendered and are completely unflexable in scheduling appointments. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

PROS: There aren't any pros!
CONS: They're rude, disrespectful and have no customer service skills!
