A dear friend has twice given me gift certificates to Thermae Day Spa for my birthday. It is heaven there! You begin in a rode and rubber slippers in a beautiful, quiet atmosphere. You the proceed into a treatment room and the practitioner I had for massage both times (Sedjana) was fantastic! I would highly recommend it for a much needed treat and retreat.

This is a hidden gem in Menlo Park. Very professional and excellent services. I love the atmosphere, very tranquil. It isn't cheap but worth spoiling yourself and friends.
I like it much better than the larger spas like La Belle, more personal.
PROS: Very professional
CONS: I just sometimes forget about them.

I've been to Thermae twice in the last two weeks and have truly enjoyed the experience. They're gone out of their way to create a peaceful, welcoming environment that makes you feel like you're really away from it all. The staff are warm, friendly, and respectful - not at all the snooty environment I've experienced at other spas. They've thought of so many special details, like a warm neck pillow with scented oils to start you off while you wait for your treatment to begin, the delicious orange green tea, the cucumbers waiting to soothe your eyes for your bath. My favorite part is the waiting area, which is candlelit, soothing, and meditative (I go during the daytime - don't know what it's like in the evenings), where I can be quiet and relax. I've had the herbal wrap, a facial, and the hot stone massage, all of which were wonderful and left me feeling rejuvenated and like I'd been on vacation. I highly recommend it.

I have enjoyed everything from a relaxing massage to a fabulous body scrub to a basic brow wax in this spa ... all excellent. I don't recommend the manicure/pedicure set up as it's over priced for what you get but all other services are great.
