As a male, this is the perfect place to shop for the woman in your life because they all love this place and everything in it.I was there on the weekend to shop for my wife's birthday and found a large selection to choose from. The sales assistants are very helpful and did a good job with the gift wrap.The new garden cafe makes a perfect spot for us to hang out with a coffee while the women folk do their shopping thing. Buster our dog was in 7Th heaven snacking on his "Pup Pizza" while i particularly enjoyed the cup cake for humans.

I thought the old place in The Lumberyard Mall was IT but the new location is just SO special and talk about UNIQUE! The one thing Paper Rose is famous for is it's uniqueness but they've outdone themselves at Vulcan Ave with the garden, the merchandise & the fabulous Moon Mania Doggy cafe! You HAVE to try the California Cupcakes & the pet boutique has the cutest stuff for dogs & cats.

Paper Rose's new location is simply delightful! The old cottage & large well landscaped garden make Paper Rose even better than it was before. The merchandise is still unique, affordable & tasteful. The addition of the dog cafe is just wonderful. If you need table service & a latte or cappuccino, then this is not the place for you, however the coffee & tea is free & very good. The cafe is a self serve operation with mainly sweet treats like brownies ,cupcakes, cookies etc. The array of treats for dogs is amazing & all natural. If you're looking for a nice relaxing place to enjoy a break with your dog this is the place. All in all this is a wonderful unique establishment.

For anybody who DOESN'T know about this gorgeous store, hot foot it there straight away! It's even worth a trip from San Diego or far away places, as it has the most adorable & unique merchandise you'll ever find, not to mention the most fabulous greeting cards & chocolate truffles. The ladies who work in the store & the owner (who is from Australia) are so warm & friendly. And for those of us who aren't locals they are even opening an online store soon www.paperrosegifts.com so we can buy all their cool stuff online. The trip up to Encinitas is worthwhile though as there is a great restaurant right next door where you can have lunch & Moonlight Beach just down the road.Oh.....Paper Rose is in the Lumberyard Mall on Highway 101 in Encinitas.
