Thank you so much for the wonderful support you have shown when I went there at your place to shop for gift items. I was truly satisfied with the items I got and would surely return.

The shop is teeny tiny, but is filled with alot of unique train things. If your train crazy child has all the train themes things from chain stores this is a place to find stuff they don't have yet.

Travel Town Museum Gift Shop is a little store located in Griffith Park and is really a fun place to visit after going to the Travel Town museum. They carry a wide selection of Thomas the Tank Engine toys in addition to the Travel Town museum souvenirs. The staff are really nice and are more than happy to answer questions.

Been here many times with my kids. This is a small store, but they have some cool train items that you dont find everywhere. Great parking, friendly service. Always fun to spend the day at travel town, and come home with lots of fun stuff for your little train fanatic.

This is the perfect low-cost stop for a family outing. Our favorite thing is to ride on the miniature train. It's only a couple bucks and the conductor is usually a retired train worker. They also have a huge model train set that you can watch model enthusiasts working on it during the weekends. You can pack your own lunch or stop by the hot-dog cart (no veggie items here). And the museum store has every manner of Thomas the Tank Engine toy you might be looking for. If you are going to Griffith Park, you should make Travel Town one of your stops.

PROS: Ample parking
CONS:

It's a little shop, but they seem to carry all the Thomas the tank engine merchandise that a little kid "needs". The staff was really friendly too. Bought Toby here when we were at Travel Town for a birthday party.
The birthday parties at Travel Town are great. You can rent a train car and the staff will set up a Thomas train track with all the trains for the kids to play with. There is a little train that goes around Travel Town and a little museum with grown men playing with little model trains behind the glass. It's a fun place for train enthusiasts - young and old.

PROS: Great selection, nice staff
CONS: No cons.

This is a unique place: they have about 20 actual railroad cars and locomotives that you can climb on and pretend to operate. My 3-year-old son and I have a blast moving the levers and shouting "More steam!" and "All aboard!".

The best days to go are Saturday and Sunday, because there's a model railroad club that has a big N-scale (that's really small trains) layout of trains that they run on those days. Kids love watching the trains go up over the mountains and in and out of tunnels.

If you have kids who like trains, this is great way to spend a Saturday morning.

(You can also rent out a railroad passenger car and have a birthday party there, but I've never done that, so I don't know much about it.)
