Barragan's Mexican Restaurant

My family and I go to Barragan's in Burbank every Monday night for $1 tacos on "taco night". The tacos are either ground beef or chicken and delicious. The restaurant serves free freshly made chips and pretty tasty salsa. Being of Mexican descent, I know a good taco when I taste one, and these are up there with mom's. There is parking behind the restaurant. Considering the fact that "taco night" is pretty crowded, the wait to be seated goes by quickly. I have had other meals here, and find the food to be very authentic.

Besides having gone 3 years ago when I ordered a dish, the side dish of beans was cold. If I wanted to eat cold beans I would have stayed home and opened up a can of beans! I told the owner and all he had to say was "I guess they are not doing their job"! Such poor public relations. I also went today 10/5/08 ordered cocido and in my soup not only did I find chicken in it but chicken bones. barragans what are you doing dumping back what remains on peoples plates back into the pots? It smells old and musty!!! If you're thinking about going to this restaurant "DON'T"! The food is 100 times better at Taco Bell!!! barragans suck! You guys are gross!!! Don't waste you money and time at this aweful restaurant, barragans. I can see the downfall coming of barragans! I have no idea how you guys have survived with your nasty service and especially food!!! Yuk, Puke, Barf, and Vomit!!!

Barragan's is a very nice to place to eat. The food is delicious and the waitresses are very attentive to the customers needs. I recommend Barragan's to anyone who wants to take their family to have a great Mexican meal and a nice time.

There food was good but I found it on the pricy side as far as mexican resturants go. They gave you free chips and salsa but the salsa was not my favorite. The decor was great but the service was slow.

The food was pretty good....service a bit slow. But all in all - good. I liked the decor and the ambiance. Especially since it wasnt too expensive. Parking was kind of a pain though.

The only thing I don't like about mexican cuisine is it is too spicy and I have to take care to order some mild or nonspicy items. Anyway, this place is really good, because they will tailor order to the guest and carefully make the way he ordered.
