Gun World is a great shop--tons of new and used guns, the staff knows their stuff, and they have a huge selection of ammo and hard-to-find accessories. I highly recommend this store. The staff always knows what they are talking about. Every gun that I have bought from them, has been at a lower price than any other store that I had looked at. I am currently looking for a gun that I haven't been able to find at Turnerss, but it is at Gun World. Defiantly check this store out you will love it! Recommended

A very unique gun store. They actually have a friendly staff that nows what they are talking about. Great selection they have some very hard to get items. Such as LaRue Tactical Preditobrs, LWRC's Leonidas a limited edition of three

I had my first...and last... encounter with Gun World today. I noticed that most of these reviews are from people who have purchased firearms, so let me tell you about my experience when you want to sell. The owner must have positively thought he saw the word "sucker" printed on my forehead when I walked into his store...simply because I'm a woman maybe? I had an Ithaca 12 ga., a Winchester 30-30 lever action, and a Colt 38 revolver (officers model, 1st issue) I'll ballpark their high end value at $1600.00. I researched these firearms... I know the value...low and high end. I figured he'd probably hit somewhere in the middle. He offered me $400.00...for all 3. Now...I'm not a math genius, but wow...what a profit margin. I had a S&W 357 with a 4" barrel on my list. He offered me $300.00. He has one listed on his website under used firearms for $600.00. What a crook...if you want to sell, go elsewhere. I certainly will. I've also decided that Gun World writes their own reviews, Ha.

Great selection, staff was nice and very knowledgeble, prices were a little high but they did negotiate and I came out happy owning a new gun. Also it's easy for other shops to make claims and promises of cheaper prices and NEVER have

I been looking for a nice gun store with a good selection. I went to some others gun shops in Burbank and they did not have a decent selection. When I first walked in to Gun World I thought it was going to be the worst of the three I had

OMG, this is the best gun store I've been too. They have a huge selection, best customer service. When I came into the store, I had no knowledge of guns, but they took the time to go over everything I needed to know and helped me find the right gun for me to purchase my first gun. I didn't know what the difference from hollow points to full metal jackets. So happy I went. Now I feel safe in my home. I told all my friends to go there.

You know, I read the above reviews and I understand where some of you are coming from. But as I far as I am concerned, I am a loyal customer.. Having been to the few gun shops we have in CA, I was put off by the insiders club feel. I felt the selection was limited at other places, and particularly at the ""Venice"" shop, I saw that nobody really felt the need to sell to me. \r\nI went to gun world on saturday with my wife and was impressed greatly with the selection of rifles, handguns and shotguns. They had all of the pistols I was interested in buying. The salesman (Mark) was knowledgeable and friendly. Unlike some other places, I didn't feel embarrassed to have my wife there. Very professional. Very clean.. no overly-jokey doofis posters (as I call 'em, maybe y'all like those) or crayzed political signage. Just great gun selection and a pro staff. \r\nI wound up getting the 9mm USP. But it was in stock, and I was really paying for the advice, and for the environment in which the weapon was sold. \r\nI am now, and will be a loyal customer. Simply because the experience was what I needed it to be.\r\n\r\n

This place deserves more credit. So much so that I will make it my first review. I have been to most of the gun stores in Los Angeles, and I have not seen a larger or higher quality selection in any of the other venues. They have all the top quality stuff. The people that work at Gun World will actually ask you if you need help, have questions, or would like to take something out of the many wood display cases for a closer look. Most of the employees that I have dealt with are knowledgeable and faster than Google as far as accurate info, and recommendations. I have read allot of reviews that complain about the prices to these people I say they will match most local ads. Buying a gun is allot like a car or a mattress, there is almost always room for negotiation. I have never seen a thug in the store. Ever. I have also never seen a mess or dust in the cases or on the guns on the wall or in the cases. They seem to run a tight ship. The selection is top notch. The also have some limited run fire arms on hand, so if you want something more unique they have that covered.

Unusual store when you walk in it looks like a very small store with a bunch of ammunition on shelves behind a small counter. That is till you go into the back rooms and it is a cavern of firearms and accessories. They have a huge selection of handguns. The sales staff did not have the usual I know everything about gun and you are an idiot for asking a question. Gun World is quite a refreshing change from the other gun stores around Los Angeles. The staff was really quite knowledgeable and willing to take time with me to explain all of the questions I asked. Gun World is the best gun store I have been to.

I have bought, sold, and traded a number of guns at this shop, and I feel like I have always gotten good deals, fair trades, and honest treatment. I really enjoy doing business there, and I would recommend this shop to anyone needing firearms, ammo, or supplies.

Being a girl I was quite intimidated walking into a store like this on my own. But once I was inside the staff made me feel extremely comfortable! They treated me with respect and didn't automatically assume that I didn't know what I was doing (however, that would've been a correct assumption). After asking me a few questions to find out my level of expertise and finding out I had barely any gun knowledge, the employees were happy to start from square one and teach me everything I needed to know. They were all so friendly and extremely knowledgeable. This store is HUGE and they are very well staffed. I was greeted and taken care of as soon as I walked in the door even though it seemed to be pretty busy. While I'm not exactly a gun enthusiast, this place seems to have anything and everything you could possibly need. From what I hear, this is one of the largest gun shops in Los Angeles area.

It is so hard to find a good gun store. In less you are buddies with the sale men or know everything about guns it can be hard to get the time of day in most gun stores. This is the only gun shop where this has not happened to me. The employees really know there guns. This alone make going to Gun World worth it. Add there great selection and prices and the best selection of accessories and ammo I have seen and this place is an all-around winner

I was not even sure if I wanted a gun. After going to other gun shops I was about to give up it was just too confusing. When I went in to Gun World there was no high pressure sale pitch as a matter fact they suggested that I go to the firing line(a target range0 and try a few caliber and models out before I pick a handgun. This could not have been better advice. \r\n\r\nOn my second trip I was by a very polite and most friendly sales man. Quite a contrast to the other store I went too. Any way Gun World is a great shop they are well versed in the gun they sale. They have a huge selection and they had what I wanted in stock and they even gave me a discount. Great people cannot say enough good things about the people who work there.\r\n

I was greeted and taken care of as soon as I walked in the door even though it seemed to be pretty busy. Large selection they had all the Glock models lot of S&W and a huge Kimber selection. A friendly staff that you just do not find in other gun store. Why is it that it so hard for gun store to find friendly staff? Gun World certainly does not seem to have this problem. The $50.00 one year range membership that they gave me with my Kimber purchase was just a great bonus.\r\n

Great selection of firearms, they must of had every Sig Sauer pistol in stock. Had no attitude with the staff unlike other store I been to. They were happy to show me several pistols even though i said I was only doing research. While I was there I witnessed an extremely patient sale help a first time gun buyer threw the purchase of their first fire arms. He must of answered every question under the sun. I was most impressed because it seemed like this person had not done any research and there for the pore sales man had to give the first time gun buyer a tremendous amount of basic information.\r\nGreat place tones of gun ammo and accessories and the price seemed fair. Would not hesitate to recommend the Gun World to my friends and family\r\n

The staff was rude...They didn't bother helping me to go through the steps of obtaining the weapon. Then I went to look at reviews of the store and found that one of the employees was bad mouthing me.. He actually said my name on there and defamed me. I bought my first gun at Gun World and the experience was great. I dealt with two different employees (actually the owner and an employee) and both were knowledgeable and friendly. They must have shown me 6 or 7 guns and did rush me or make me feel pressured.\r\n\r\nThey offered their opinion on the guns. I ended up buying a used Ruger P95 and I am happy with my purchase. I will definitely go back to them for my next gun.

I ordered a Glock 20C SF. When I arrived to get the weapon they delivered a Glock 20c and then proceeded to attempt to convince me that it was a Glock 20c SF.\n\nI explained that I knew the difference and then the shortish, black haired guy that wore glasses started insinuating that I was white trash and how insignificant my $800 purchase was.. He further stated that he didn't care how I reviewed them online.\n\nIf you are reading this; be aware that these are not nice people and they may try to trick you by delivering a different weapon than you purchase. Make sure to check your weapon when it is delivered to make sure that you don't get the old bait and switch.\n\nIt was probably the worst retail experience I can remember. I had to ask for a different sales person to refund the amount I had paid, when I initially wanted them to reorder the weapon that I wanted.

I visited a particular (un-named) gun retailer in San Fernando Valley 2 times - the first time I was searching for a shotgun - the clerk was condescending and steered me towards what was on sale - I was dismayed by his attitude and subsequently did not purchase anything. The second time (shopping for a handgun) a different clerk was helpful but the selection of items was limited.\r\nHowever, at Gun World, the staff were friendly and informative; and the inventory was good - there were many items to choose from. I was a bit apprehensive as this was my first gun purchase, but all my questions were answered and I did not feel intimidated. It was a good experience. I compared the price I paid for my revolver and it was within range of other retail competitors. I recommend Gun World for any first-time buyers. I am a 50 year old female-and I mention this for this sake of other women in LA who might have attention on wanting to feel comfortable when investing in self-defense.

My friends girlfriend bought him a Glock 19 from this place for Christmas (she paid, he did the paperwork) and they said he could come in and exchange it for a different Glock if he didn't want the Glock 19. When he came in to do the paperwork and asked about swapping it for a Glock 22 they said they would charge a 25% restocking fee! 25% for what!? to put a gun back in the display and swap it for another one??? Thats rediculous to me.. Even more rediculous than the $699 they charged his girlfriend for the $500 gun. Do not shop here.

I've been here about a dozen times and bought two pistols. No one was rude - not even close. I found them quite friendly and very patient. \r\n\r\nThey would not match internet prices, but did match Turner's, even Turner's items on sale. \r\n\r\nVery good selection, but nowhere near that at Martin B Retting in Culver City. \r\n\r\nGun purchase includes one-year membership at their range near Van Nuys airport, so that made it the ""best deal in town"" for me.\r\n\r\n\r\n

I visited GunWorld today 05/27/08. I saw their online sale Glocks for 499 and thought perhaps I might purchase. I guess I was a day late regarding the sale. Saleperson said they were no longer at that price. No problem since I was headed to the range and the were right down the street.\r\nI must admit they do have the largest selection of firearms I have seen in any gun store. Very impressive. I did inquire about internet prices on other guns I was interested in. They had a few of them in stock but were not able to match the internet prices. Their transfer fees would have made the guns higher than their in store prices. But I am finding that case with most gun stores. Its cheaper to buy it at their price than it is to pay the internet price ,plus transfer fee, shipping, dros, etc.\r\nPlus side they have the largest inventory I seen in any gun store. The staff was friendly.

Pros: Huge Selection.

Cons: Did not offer to extended the sale. Transfer fees high.

.

I stopped by Gun World a little while back to take care of a transfer. I called ahead to make sure they transfered OLLs which the person the phone confirmed. \r\n\r\nOf course, when I show up with my buddy to do the actual transfer, I get turned away, quite rudely at that. There are many more recent examples of customers who've had issues with Gun World on Calguns. Don't give these guys your business; there are other shops who are far more deserving.

Pros: It's a gunshop

Cons: Staff; Prices;

Gun World has been in business for 22 years and I have been with the company since beginning. Many of you know me. Let me start off by saying I do apologize if we have upset any customers over the years. We run a quality store with the biggest and best inventory in town. We couldn't make this possible if we didn't have customers. So yes I do take all criticisms seriously. Over the years our industry has changed dramatically. Unfortunately it has changed for the worse. There are many fewer of us out there now and the numbers keep dwindling and the cost of doing business keeps going higher. More fees more licenses more taxes. We try to be as competitive as we possibly can and still stay in business. If there is local price cheaper than ours we always try to meet or beat the price. I?m sorry but we can not compete with the guy at home selling guns from a catalog on the internet we have overhead he does not so please don?t ask me to match an internet price that is typically twenty dollars over my cost. We do thank all of our customers for choosing us to do business with and look forward to doing business with you in the future. The gun store is dying breed in our town. Weather or not you support our store please support a local gun store or soon there will be none left.

I have to wonder if these people are going to the same Gun World I?m am. They have the biggest selection of hand guns I have ever seen at any store. There price are great. When they have specials they often match or beat Turners price. Most importunely they have them in stock. It rare to find gun store salesman who know the product, the staff at Gun World always seem to be able to answer my question and when I stump a sales man they take the time to find an answer. Great store I can only whish all store of every kind where like this.

Although I've only been to Gun World once, I felt compelled to post a rating in light of the negative comments I saw regarding gun selection. That post must have come from an owner of a smaller store, or by someone who didn't walk into the back rooms. This Burbank store had more guns than any other store I've seen in southern California (at least as many as Martine B. Retting in Culver City and more handguns). The prices were similar to other shops, too. I was with two friends, and the staff was kind to all of us and let us handle many guns, even though we were not there to purchase. I've bought guns at Kings, Rettings, Turners, and at Bain & Davis (very nice folks), and will consider buying at Gun World for my next purchase (beats driving to the west side). I'd give it 5 starts, but like I said, I've only been there one time.

I have gone to many Gun Shops all over california and particularily LA and I do not recommend buying from this gun shop, the service is extremely poor, the prices are way higher than anyone else and of all shops I have been into the attitude and way they treat customers is appalling. They do not care about service and have very little knowledge. It is not worth wasting your time checking them out,and their inventiory is very small.much better prices and service else wgere such as The Gun Gallery in Glendale

As a gun coniseur who has been collecting and purchasing guns for over 30 years, I feel honored to have a store of quality so near to my home. I think the nay sayer must have shopped at Big 5 for his firearms needs. Everyone at this store is extremely knowledeably and friendly! They are always willing to make a good deal. The quality of the firearms they carry is amazing! Nothing but the best. My 30 years of experience causes me to feel grateful for a store like this. Kudos to Gun World!

I have been a gun collector for 30 years and have never experienced such wonderful service and knowledgeable staff as Gun World In Burbank has.Their selection of firearms is the largest I have ever seen and they only carry quality products. The chance is the person that gave them a negative review is probably use to low life gun shows and even if he saw a firearm he liked could not afford it.As far as their prices they have always been very fair with me and most competitive.Go see for yourseif what a high end store looks like.

Condescending sales people, guns are $50.00 to $100.00 more than their competitors. I asked the long haired sales guy if they carry a certain brand name and he literally laughed in my face and walked away! The 3rd sales person I had a bad experience with. I have purchased several products and accessories here over the last year, but I will no longer visit this store.
