I heard this place was off the chain but to me nothing compares to Chef Marilyn's. However, if you have a taste for soul food, M&M can satisfy that craving.

Pros: Example: best croissants in town

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

.

M&M has a wide veriaty of differnt good. Not the tipical foods you find around your grocrey store. I took my friends in there and picked out a bunc of differnt stuff we hadnt seen. It terned out to be as good as it sounded.

One of my favorite spots in the Lakewood/Carson, the food is great and the people watching is so much fun!The staff isn't extremely nice, but it kinda suits the place. But, the food here is yummy in my tummy! Fried chicken, cornbread, stuffing, gravy, collards, mac and cheese, and cobbler....equals all kinds of goodness! I would recommend this to anyone that doesn't mind the less than sparkling clean restaurant and the less than nice staff for some good food.

I was studying for finals and babysitting my siblings, so I took us all to M&Ms. What can I say? I study better on a full stomach! There's a bowling alley and family fun center right next door, so I sent the kids to play and ordered the smothered turkey leg dinner. Now, I spent 4 years of my life packing on pounds in Atlanta, so I expected nothing less than a hearty meal. I was not disappointed at all. There was more than enough gravy on the tukey legs, which were almost bigger than my own legs (ha ha ha), and I had to pack up my collard greens, macaroni and cheese and black eyed peas to eat at home. The peach cobbler, my personal favorite when my Mom Mom makes it, was heavenly. I haven't braved the banana pudding yet, my step-mother is the only person I trust to make that, but I plan to venture there on my next visit.

Pros: Large portions, lots of available parking, family activities located nearby

Cons: Sometimes the staff is a bit distracted so they'll mix up your order or forget things

My daughter and I ordered the meatloaf, just one order that we planned on sharing. Little did we know that one order of meatloaf could feed a family of four! It comes to you as two giant slabs of meat with your three selected sides and cornbread. We took the leftover meatloaf, greens, cornbread, yams, and rice & gravy home and feasted on them later that night AND for lunch the next day. It was pricier than we originally thought (around $11.95 for the meatloaf dinner), but since it was the equivalent of two dinners, it was worth it. And did I forget to mention that it was some of the greatest comfort food I've ever tasted?!!

UPDATE: We ordered takeout again a couple months later and instead of an order of peach cobbler, we were given a second order of macaroni and cheese. I called from home to tell the cashier that he'd given me another order of mac and cheese instead of the cobbler and he said he'd give me the cobbler upon return. What he should have done is promised me a free meal for my inconvenience (having to listen to my wife complain ad nauseam about why I didn't check the bag before leaving the restaurant).

Pros: Massive Portions

Cons: Doublecheck your takeout order before leaving!, but You Take Some Home
