Laugh Factory

the laugh factory gets some awesome acts, but its location is less than optimal. to see a show you have to venture in to the heart of hollywood-traffic is crazy-and parking is difficult and expensive. the seating is cramped and drinks are limited and expensive-however you will laugh.

We visited the laugh factory on January 2, 2008 and it was awesome!

Jon Lovitz cancelled but we had a great time seeing the comedians who performed....Jeff Ross, Sebastian, and Darren Carter...awesome...great way to kick off 2008!

the following is a letter i sent to the laugh factory... i should pretty much say it all.

I went to the Laugh Factory this saturday night. and had the worst time. the hostest was rude. we paid for "VIP" tickets and were asked to move three times!!! so people who showed up2 hours late could have our seats. are you kidding me?!?! then you guys tried to rip us off by trying to make us buy three drinks each. saying the one in the VIP room didnt count. really! the only joke at the laugh factory is the laugh factory it self. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE I LET EVERYONE I KNOW, KNOW HOW BAD IT WAS. thanks but next time i was stand up... i'll buy a case of beer for the price of the 2 drinks you require and turn on Comedy central and not get asked to move from my own living room.

CONS: everything

While at the Laugh Factory we were able to see one of the Stacked (with Pamela Anderson) TV stars, Elon Gold. He was very amusing and personable. He didn't hesitate to sign autographs for us. He appeared on stage with two other, equally good, comediennes. I asked one of the other stars for his autograph and he actually left to get me a photograph that he signed, that was so sweet. Be sure to take your camera, you're allowed to take pictures during the performances.

PROS: Easy to find, right on the corner of the block.
CONS: No parking. Use the valet, it's even cheaper than the nearby parking lots.

The laugh factory is tons of fun! You never know just what to expect from the comics. Its small, cozy atmosphere makes it a great night out. Parking is pretty good, and the price is fair.
At first I wasnt sure what to expect but left so glad I had gone.

The Laugh Factory is great for a night of drinks and laughs. Be sure to arrive early to get a good seat and parking. There is a 2 drink minimum but it's worth it. If you are lucky, a celebrity will sometimes show up for a guest appearace

I've been here a few times and I've always had a great experience. The comedians you'll see are some of the best around and sometimes you'll be lucky enough to get a celebrity up on stage who's brushing up for their next tour. There is a two drink minimum which makes up for the inexpensive tickets, but it is well worth it. You'll definitely enjoy yourself!

This place has been around for along time and most of the big comedy names that you hear about performed here at least once. They give away tickets a lot on radio shows, too. The acts are hilarious, it's like they are unable to schedule boring acts; that is how good the comedians are.

PROS: HILARIOUS!
CONS: Your sides may ache a bit ;)

I go here quite often when I just want to chill and laugh my a** off. The Laugh Factory is a well known comedy hot spot which features up and coming and well known comedians. During the week they host a full lineup of themed nights such as open mike nights, Latino and African-American showcases, and most weekends a well know comedian is featured. Tickets are usually inexpensive and there is a two drink minimum and valet parking.

It's one of the best known comedy stages in the world and has been graced by such stars as Richard Pryor, Rodney Dangerfield, and more you get the point .. An excellent attraction for tourists and residents to get you giggling and hooting.
