The Best Deli in the area. Reminds me of the delis back East. Don't go there at 12 noon if you are on a tight schedule, it can be very busy at lunch hour. Not cheap, but well worth it and nutritious!

I love this place!!! The food is sooo good. I catch myself going here for a week straight. The prices are a little more than just a subway sandwitch but it is worth it. The bread is all very good and you choose what is on it.

This place is awesome! The sandwiches are huge and the price is not that bad either. You make the sandwiches they way you like it! They have so many other things to choose from too!

Good sandwiches, fresh meat and good cheeses. But the service is absolutely terrible. True, they're busy. The food is good, but be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes for your sandwich. The workers are very slow and dont seem to care. Some are absolutely rude. \r\nI've been there twice now. The first time we waited about 20 minutes. 15 minutes to be served and 5 minutes for our sandwich. I thought this was long for a deli but I didnt complain. Our second visit was yesterday. We waited 40 minutes to be served and 10 minutes for our sandwich. It was ridiculous. \r\nA wait that I'd expect for fine dining, which Lucca's is definately not. The tables were filthy as well.

Pros: Good deli

Cons: Service and cleanliness

Wow, I love these sandwiches. This charming little deli on the boulevard is the best in the area. The selection of meats for your sandwich is incredible. I have never seen such a long list of different types of meat. The large selection of cheeses are top quality and flavorful. There is also a large selection of breads to choose from. In addition to sandwiches they have a great selection of European sweets to choose from to enjoy after you finish your sandwich.\r\n\r\nI eat here all the time and the quality is pretty consistent...only thing is if you go at lunch time you will probably have a bit of a wait so make sure to call your order in ahead of time. And the parking is a little difficult but you can park in back and walk in through the back kitchen...they don't mind. Enjoy your sandwich!\r\n

I love delis, since I love sandwiches. I go here much more often than Zorba's on Jackson. It's far better than the deli I go to on weekends in Foster City. Classic deli setup with a huge selection of meat, cheese, and bread. Pasta salads and other sides are available, as well as chips and drinks. It doubles as a gourmet market, like most delis. The sandwiches are top notch, loaded with layers of meat and cheese and condiments - more so than any other sandwich shop I've been to nearby. I don't like a whole lot of mayo and mustard on my sandwiches, and they usually put a lot, so I ask for less of that. There are usually about 4-5 people working behind the counter, so the wait is all right. It does get pretty busy at lunch on weekdays, so I've always had to take a number and wait. I would have given this place a World Class rating if it weren't for one consistent observation me and my fellow co-workers have made. The people behind the counter wear gloves when they assemble the sandwiches, and we've noticed at least one of them handling money while wearing the gloves. This person did not wash their gloved hands or change gloves before moving onto the next sandwich. I try not to think about it when I go there because I love the sandwiches, and I try my luck and hope I don't get that person making my sandwich. It's enough to keep pickier people away, so just a warning... To be fair, I've only noticed the one person myself - all of the others change gloves with each order.

PROS: My favorite sandwich shop in the Hayward/CV area.
CONS: The glove issue, and limited seating.
