Westlake shopping center looks great, you could spend all day between Pottery barn with your kids, shopping at Cost plus !! DSW have great selection for shoes, love TJ MAX one of my favorites.

TJ Maxx is now open for biz! Better still, the new parking structure along Lake Merced Blvd is now OPEN. There are over 600 parking spaces. I went to the mall on Sunday and the place was empty while everyone was around TJ tryi8ng to squeeze into a space. Use the new parking structure. Thanks to Councilman Sal Torres for staying on top of Kimko to do improvements with traffic control... soon there will be a traffic cop there to help move cars in and out of there.

Westlake used to be a "dying" quaint mall in Daly City. Thanks to Kimco Realty, it is now a bustling shopping center. The upgrade has its pros and cons. It revitalized Westlake as a destination. You got Home Depot, Trader Joe's, World Market's, Walgreens, DSW Shoes, TJ Maxx (coming soon), Starbuck's, Slider's USA (great burgers), Nation's GIANT Hamburger, Pho Ho Hiep, Burlington Coat Factory, Linen N' Things, Hollywood Video, Beverly's, and a bunch more restaurants. The cons: IT IS ALMOST ALWAYS PACKED. Parking is very difficult - small spaces. I recommend parking by Home Depot if you don't mind walking or if you like going around in circles looking for parking. Traffic is now a problem along John Daly Blvd. Drivers who ignore the yellow light and try to squeeze ends up blocking the main highway. Take SAMTRANS if you may.
Otherwise, it's a nice alternative to the ALSO crowded Serramonte Center.

Westlake shopping center is the place to be if your place is too far from serramonte or tanforan. The place has too many cars and there is this intersection that is tricky...we almost got into an accident. Place has many parking spots that are always filled. The place has Walgreens, Burlington Coat Factory, Home Depot and Wasington Mutual. And great coffee with Starbucks.

The "new and improved" Westlake Shopping Center is an accident waiting to happen. Parking is ridiculous, spaces are tight and traffic is a nightmare. Cars double park down the main road, trucks double park to unload to stores. I personally have witnessed two fender benders in the Trader Joe's area alone. The parking garage and continuing construction sites are an eyesore in the area. Kimco really messed up an otherwise pleasant shopping expierence. It's a real shame because Westlake is my neighborhood shopping area and I avoid it now like the plague. Thanks a heap Kimco!

Westlake Shopping Center has little shops like red wing shoes. They have lots of restaurants such as Applebee's Uno mas. They have one of the larger walgreens & safeway. Lots of parking.

I basically have come to shop here with my mnom whenever she comes here for safeway or wallgreens. There's not alot of selections in shops for clothing at this mall. All of them has closed down and moved away. Its a cute little shopping area though with restaurants.

This mall has changed so much since it became a mall so long ago. I remember shopping here as a teenager and none of the stores (except walgreens) where I use to shop at is no longer here. It is now a grocery and restaurants mall. They have one of the larger Safeways here and Trader Joes.
