We discovered the BBQ house over 10 years ago and have never found any other place that can come close to them. Their Southern BBQ pork sandwich is the BEST! Melt in your mouth meats with a delicious homemade barbeque sauce that is fantastic.

We went out expecting to go a different restaurant in OB. As we walked down Newport Ave we came across the BBQ House. I had the standard BBQ sandwich with medium flavor BBQ sauce. My husband had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. The meat was so tender that it melts in your mouth!! The sauce was tasty without over powering the sandwich. There are a variety of items to choose from. We also had onion rings...which were sweet and tender and not over cooked. The service was great. It's not huge (a hole in the wall). This place out does any BBQ place (Phil's BBQ) I have ever been to. You will not be disappointed!!

This is an awesome place to grab lunch if your in OB. I was overwhelmed with all the yummy options: Beef, ham, chicken or pork? Mild, medium, or hot bbq sauce? Not like the BBQ Pitt in El Cajon because they have different styles, but VERY good.

I recommend everyone to eat here. Everything on the menu is delicious. And they have affordable bbq sandwiches to a full scale family meal with bbq ribs.

Also, excellent customer service.

PROS: Awesome Food
CONS: Sometimes they are busy so you have to wait
