Okay I'll be honest, I only like their ice coffee, their sandwiches are like one slice of meat, a load of veggies, and some mayor. The store is very small and cramp.

This bakery makes their bread by themselves. After trying about a dozen of different bakery in San Jose, we find that the bread at this place is the best. In fact, here, when you buy the bread, they will take them out of the baking machine, still hot, and put it in the bag for you.
Another plus for this place is their sandwich. Their sandwich isn't the best, but is the cheapest around (3 for $3.50).

My mom has been getting birthday cakes for us here since 1987 or so. Their cake is very lightly flavored and puffy, their frostings aren't too sweet. The place is clean and cake selection is large. So if you like the lighter French style cakes, this is a great bakery. They do wedding cakes also, very prettily decorated. The bakery is clean and airy. (I actually prefer the sweeter and heavier American type cakes.)

PROS: Lightly flavored cakes, not too sweet
CONS: Perhaps a tiny bit more expensive than other Vietnamese bakeries

This bakery has some really great French style pastries and rolls. Since the French used to inhabit Vietnam (so I hear from the workers here, I hope they weren't joking with me), this enabled the Vietnamese to emulate upon the recipes and give them an Asian twist. The outcome is delicious, I love how delicately sweet the pastries are. They also make one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes: sandwhiches!
