These two manicurists, Tina and Kelly are extremely skiled in their work and their attitude is friendly and caring.
As added blessings they are never crowded and don't chatter on in Vietnamese with screechy voices as is the case in some of the other salons in the area. I strongly disagree with the woman who wrote the endless rant below. Perhaps Tina was having a bad day or the customer came in demanding with a bad adttitude. (I'm guesing, because Tina and kelly are gracious and fun to be with.

HORRIBLE!!!

STAY AWAY!!!

I called and made an appointment for a polish change at 3pm. I was running late so I called to let them know. I got on the road and traffic was horrible... by the time I arrived it was 3:30.

I walk in and tell them that I had an appt with Tina (the owner). Tina looks at me and barks "Yeah and you're already late! Do you want to pick a color?' (Note that the place is completely EMPTY)

I pick a color and sit at her station. She removes my existing polish, buffs my nails, squirts cuticle oil on them then alcohol all over and barely wipes my nails. Then she reaches for the polish to begin painting. Mind you that my nails and fingers are still all oily from the cuticle oil so I ask her if I can wash my hands.

She looks up at me with an ugly look, sighs, then barks GO and points to the back where the sink was.

I come back and she paints my nails. I like to let the 2 coats of polish dry a little before applying the top coat so I tell her this and she give me a look and walks away.

So I sit there drying my polish and she comes back 1.5 mins later ready to apply top coat. I say again "Can I let the polish dry a bit?" She mumbles something to herself and I ask "What?" and she says "No problem" and walks away. She was acting as if she had 10 customers waiting and needed to get me out of the place.

I sit there drying my nails and notice that the polish has become all bubbly! So I tell her calmly and she comes over starts barking that its MY FAULT and it happened because I put my hands too close to the fan. I just ignore her even though all I want to do at this point is PUNCH HER IN THE FACE. She takes out the top coat and applies it to my nails.

I tell her that you can still see the bubbles, my nails dont look smooth and I dont like them.

She gives me an ugly look and starts BARKING over and over that it was my fault that I put my hands too close to the fan and that you can only see the bubbles a little bit.

I tell her again that you can still see the bubbles, my nails don't look smooth and I don't like them.

Now she gives me and ugly look and BARKS "Ok well I'll just return your money then!"

She "removes" the polish (which was DARK red) and leaves my nails all messed up with dark polish all over my fingers and under my nails. While she's removing the polish she's barking about how I made and appointment for 3 and didnt even get her until 3:30. So I tell her "Yeah, but I called to inform you." So she says "Yeah and all you wanted was a polish change!! You said you wanted a manicure!!" (Which I never said)

She takes the cash out of her door and THROWS it at me and mumbles something to herself.

All I can say is "EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE"

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Tina, the owner is a complete BIATCH!!!!!

With all the competition of Nail salons around Westwood, it's hard to tell which one is better than the other... until you come to this place! The owner is really really nice. She takes her time and she is really careful about the work. I got mani and pedi cures here and the price was like $20 tips included. So now I can take out my flip flops for the summer!!

And thanks again for insiderpages for sending me here. I got a great manicure - great attention to detail - from Tina, the owner, and at the price I want to pay: 8 bucks plus tip. I'm taking my boyfriend here to get his back waxed.

I detest nail technicians who tear through the pedicure in a mad rush. Have no fear, the owner of this salon has the patience of an angel! I waltzed in 10 minutes after closing time, but she was gracious enough to keep the place open for my friend and me. Her attitude really charmed me, and I totally felt at home. I admit that I consider this the #1 nail spa in Los Angeles!
