5 Stars: A Spice You Can Handle (by alyssa v.)

I've only been to this restaurant once, but I've been wanting to go back ever since. Their food is ABSOLUTELY delicious and for some reason, the spice of the food wasn't as bad as I thought. This place is a definite go-too for cheap food around the Berkeley area!

1 Stars: Gross! (by Mary P.)

I stopped in this place at lunchtime once because it's close to campus and I was in a hurry. That time I found the food to be okay, not great, but cheap. I was more or less satisfied except that the mango lassi I ordered had a very strange taste that reminded me of Windex. For all I know, it *was* Windex! Anyway, I just figured if I went back I would avoid the lassis. The next time I went there it was late at night and I was with some friends. Three of the five dishes we ordered were totally disgusting! I ordered saag paneer, and it (along with at least one of the other offending dishes) had a very odd, chemical taste to it. I don't know what the deal is with this place, but I suspect that there is some weird stuff that goes into the food and drinks that you don't want to know about. If you like the taste of Windex and other chemicals, this is your place! Otherwise I recommend walking a bit farther (and paying a little more) to go to Kaana Peena on Oxford.

4 Stars: Amazing Indian Cuisine (by Anson T.)

This restaurant is truly fantastic. I would have to say that the place is definitely a little run down but it does contribute to this casual feeling that the restaurant has. The food is very good and their naan is always fresh and tastes amazing with their curry. The prices are also very reasonable, about 6 bucks for a curry dish and 1 dollar for naan. I recommend this place for a casual dinner if you're looking for something new.
