Hancock Fabrics

Hancock Fabrics has a huge selection of fabrics, buttons, sewing equipment, ribbons, and any other things you need for sewing and crafts. They cut fabrics to your desired length and they do not charge much. They have a huge store filled with a huge variety of good quality and good priced materials. The staff is very helpful if you have any questions about materials also.

Hancock Fabrics is located in between Toys R US and TJ Maxx. I needed to sew a prom dress from scratch during the springtime, so I wanted to check the store to see if they had any appropriate formal floral prints. I walked in and browsed around for about 3 minutes when an employee approached me and asked if I needed assistance. The employee ended up being a big help and because of her advice I was able to come up with 3 more ideas of how to style the dress. I went home with a bunch of sketches and swatch prints of nice floral, lace, and silk dress ideas.

There are so many different fabrics here that you can stay in the store for so many hours. There is also a huge wall of buttons and elastics to choose from. It is a little more expensive than most but you don't have to travel to lots of smaller fabric shops.

This is a good store if you are looking for either quality home furnishings material or regular designer fabric. They are a little higher priced than the other local fabric stores, but they also cater more to the home decorators. It is the only local place to find material by some top name designers and companies.
