Mary's Pizza Shack

The location of this restaurant in downtown Sonoma is perfect for both locals and tourists. There is a covered outside dining area in front that has a pleasant view of the park across the street. The food is good quality and the menu is varied. The pizzas are tasty, but for lunch I prefer Marys Salad or a pasta dish, if hungrier. The servers are usually personable and attentive. Mary's is a place that locals frequent on a regular basis.

This is a super location for a second Mary's restaurant in Sonoma~ parking can be tough on the Square though.
The restuarant is great~ remodeled the old Marioni's and it looks and feels great~ homey and comfortable~ the old Sonoma feel!
Great food~ always get the Mary's Combination pizza and a Mary's dinner salad...can't go wrong with this. Another favorite~ okay I could go on and on with the favorites~ for kids is the Hot Dog in a Blanket! Kids love it! I got it as a kid (and still do once in a while) and my son loves it!

Not quite as homey as the original Mary's~ although most won't miss anything not having been to the original 'Shack'...
Great addition to the fancy schmancy Plaze restaurants!

But let me warn you~ do NOT order delivery from the downtown restaurant! In 2 years I have never gotten my order delivered with any satisfaction! They are usually late~ and I mean LATE...when they say 1 hour~ double it! I've also had my order wrong on several occasions as well.
For some reason, the delivered food is just sub par. It's not even like what you'd order in the restaurant....
(If you want sauce on your pasta~ you'd better order extra. Really! And don't expect extra anything on the pizza. We order extra mushrooms and still it arrives with less than even the normal amount you usually get!)

Overall a great restaurant~ but if you order delivery, you'll be sorry!
