Coogie's has the BEST Belgium waffle with bananas and nuts in the greater Los Angeles area! Let me know if you find a better one.

Great food!!! Nice parking. Great to just park w/o paying in SM. Upscale Dennys? Very family oriented.

Coogie's actually has a sister spot in Malibu that was 1000% better. I couldn't believe the lack of service here and the food was tasteless. The lettuce in my salad was wilted and dry and the prices were ridiculous for the quality they put on the plate. Skip it. If you MUST go. Head to Malibu. The place is prettier at least.

I don't know how they do it, but the only thing I really like here is the zucchini bread that comes with some dishes. Other than that, the food is unfailingly average - never great, never terrible.

On the plus side, it is always clean and parties are seated promptly. They have a good-sized adjacent parking lot which on this side of town is quite a bonus.

Pros: Easy parking, reasonable prices, they decorate for holidays, booster seats & high chairs for tots

Cons: Food is nothing special

This place was a complete disgrace!

Though we went for breakfast because it happened to be right down the road and we were in a bit of a hurry, we expected the place to be similar to at least Denny's. A bit of a mom and pop looking version, most likely privately owned.

We were quickly seated in chairs that were wood and extremely uncomfortable. The table settings were a bit cheesy as was the whole place. You could pretty easily see the window that the food was coming out of as well which is not something I care to watch.

The server got our order wrong (pretty hard to do for breakfast) and had absolutely no personality. When I wanted to complain, I couldn't even get a servers attention. Our server must have had over 10 tables so attending to our needs was not on their priority list as much as making it around to everyone. I finally complained to a busser who didn't speak very much English and couldn't really help us out.

I felt like I paid money for nothing and barely ate a thing on our plate. The server did nothing to try to remedy the situation nor seemed to care.

First things first: fix the place up. Second: Make some decent food. Third: Hire servers who don't hate the world as well their jobs.
