The Arroyo Room

We recently were married and had our reception at The Arroyo Room. The venue is lovely, and I could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding. However, the woman who runs the place is extremely unprofessional. She becomes unhelpful and unfriendly as soon as she learns that you will not be using her catering service, Excalibur. She no longer returned my phone calls and preferred to correspond through e-mail only. For the $1150 that we paid to rent the place, I would have liked a little more hospitality. She was also unfriendly to our outside vendors. She also charged $150 out of our $400 cleaning deposit to clean up "confetti," which I thought was a little extreme. Anyway, the place is great and it's right downtown, which was really convenient. However, I would have liked a little better customer service for the amount of money we paid.

Sandy at the Arroyo Room is such a great person to work with. We held our wedding at this venue and her attention to deal and accomidiation of our request was outstanding. They are a great value and they even set up/ clean up and provide tables, chairs, linens and table decorations. Our wedding was gougous and we wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of Sandy and her staff.

PROS: Great price and service. Large room -- pleanty of space
CONS: Parking can be difficult if a busy weekend
