Caffe Delle Stelle serves fresh pastas, desserts and breads. They specialize in authentic Italian cuisines. For lunch and dinner, get your choice of grilled chicken, fresh spaghetti, fettuccine, rustica, roasted eggplant and tomatoes and for dinner, try fresh appetizers including fried calamari, bruschetta and smoked salmon, to name a few...
Our first visit to Caffe Delle Stelle started out to be great...no wait (on a Saturday evening with a parade going on right outside), they leave a pitcher of sparkling water with a slice of orange at the table and bring out a basket of bread with a tomato tapenade. However, neither one of our entrees (the Filet of Sole with Capers and the Chicken Gnocchi) were good at all...in fact, they were terrible! Service wasn't much better, either...we won't be coming back here, that's for sure!

Caffe delle Stelle is a wonderful restaurant to enjoy a good Italian meal in a charming setting. The food is excellent: Osso bucco and pasta dishes along with their delicious bread are reminiscent of dishes eaten in Italy. The specials are always delicious as are the desserts. This is a popular restaurant for special occasions and without reservations you will probably have to wait for a table during the busy evening hours.

I haven't had the chance to eat everything there, but what I did have, The Lamb Entree. It was definitely over cooked, and drowned in a good red sauce that overpowered the meal. The meal left an unpleasant aftertaste. And after getting my bill the Waiter/Owner/Boss (self proclaimed) failed to mention that each 8 OZ glass of soda refill was charged at full price, including the ice. But that all isn't even the best part, when I politely mentioned the overcooked quality of the meal I got a very cold and unprofessional grunt and instance defiance as if I have no idea what I am talking about. It's simple, if have had a good lamb before then anyone can tell if this particular meal was any good. Even better, I couldn't even read the check for the meal and had to ask what his hand written note was charging me. So as he started to raise his voice and treat me like trash he turned around and started to walk away as I was talking. I had to yell at him to add to the conversation that I have a gift certificate to include. I haven't had to raise my voice at anyone in years. I don?t care if your business is failing or your wife left you, if I am a customer I want to feel appreciated for spending my hard earned money for a meal and not leaving feeling upset because I was treated very VERY bad. At least the tiramisu was good.
Pros: if some people like it than I'm sure there is something descent
Cons: catch the owner in a bad mood and pay for it

The food was excellent and so was the service!! Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Parking isn't always easy to find, but it's worth driving around the block a few times.
Pros: Great food and service
Cons: parking

This is a great Italian Restaurant. Our party of 3 had the salmon, seafood rissoto, and chicken dish (saltimboca), all of which were very tasty. Another review recommended that you save room for the Chocolate Loaf and I definitely concur. Save room for dessert!
Pros: Excellent food, great wine selection, quite setting for conversation and very spacious so you don't feel the next table is eavesdropping
Cons: Parking can be difficult in this neighborhood

This is my favorite italian restaurant in Walnut Creek. It is priced lower than Prima, and the food is much better. The wine selection is solid and the service is good.
Pros: Food, Price
Cons: Parking

Order the guazetto. It's indescribably good. The menu is very even, and I've not been disappointed with anything yet, but the guazetto is head and shoulders above the rest. This place is run in a very friendly, low key manner. The food is on par with most other Italian restaurants in the Bay Area, but priced at an affordable level. This is not a pretentious, fancy place. Expect a relaxing, enjoyable meal and an attentive and responsive staff.
Pros: inexpensive, relaxed, authentic
Cons: not fancy

I've often dined at Cafe Delle Stelle and told myself that the good food, reasonably priced wine, and relaxed (leisurely, you could say) service must be the way it is in Italy. Finally travelling to Italy this year confirmed my suspisions. This place is great food without the pretension of most Walnut Creek restaurants, but it still has atmosphere and definitely charm. And the chocolate loaf whith whiskey sauce is not to be passed up, no matter how full you are.
Pros: charming, inexpensive, relaxed
Cons: a little slow,, if that, bothers you
