Great restaurant with quality foods. This is the only place I would rather be when it comes to Korean foods. I am extremely satisfied with their menu.

Love it! Love Korean food and that area of Rancho and on down Coloma have a lot of little hole in the wall Korean restaurants, but this is one of our 'treats'. Endless side dishes, some spicy and some not so there's a good variety for all.

It's very clean and nicely decorated, even the bathrooms..all updated and tastefully done.

Plenty of parking and easy to see from the freeway.

Customer service varies..."like a box of chocolates". If you're hungry, it seems like forever before you get your food if you order it cooked!

Note when ordering all you can eat: you can't order a second round of meat (which is HUMONGOUS in servings...sooooo much meat it's crazy!) to take home with you. Nothing works that way. We did that, thinking we could take home whatever didn't get eaten, and they threw it all out, for obvious reasons. But we felt bad. :( Soooo much food, you'll nearly bust!!! SUUUUUUUPER GOOD food and a great atmosphere...we've been there many times and see families, professionals on lunch, young people and old. Great for everyone!

This is really a great restaurant with exceptionally good food! We went on a friday night with four of our friends, and while it was extremely busy, it really is a great restaurant to go to with friends. We ordered the 'all you can eat' bbq which consisted of marinated chicken, beef, and pork I believe, and it was fun to take turns cooking on the grill in the center of the table. They also give you these little side vegetable dishes and plenty of rice to go with it. Overall it was a good meal, and the service was very good!

After having dinner there, I don't think I'll be purchasing anymore of those so called $50 gift certs. It ended up being a hassle to use. Keep in mind that they don't give you change for the balance or the opportunity to use the balance on a later trip or even apply it towards the gratuity. So you'll have to fore-go your remaining balance on the gift certificate, which is a waste. To add insult to injury, our waitress wasn't as competent as we'd hoped. She was more ignorant than helpful. Furthermore, she was more concerned about everything and anything else except for providing good service. She took forever to come check on our table as if we did not exist. When we were low on drinks (water), we were so tempted to walk up to the counter with our empty cups to ask for a refill. It's sad to know that these waitress are so oblivious to their customers' needs that they focus more on chit chatting at the front counter waiting to receive a big tip. With their fake smiles and persona, these waitresses DO NOT appear to be genuine. I would hope that their management would take this into consideration and re-train their staff....Next time, they should learn to practice due diligence and show that they actually care about their customers' needs. I don't think I will ever go back there to eat. This was my first and last time there.

Oz is a really good Korean restaurant. It is a little pricey compared to smaller places or chains, but if you're willing to put out the money it's worth it. There's a great atmosphere and it's roomy. Most importantly, it's yummy!

Oz has the best korean bbq. The inside has such a sleek, modern and friendly atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Always excellent and the food is fresh. Great to go with friends or family and they have a great selection and variety of authentic korean dishes. Great to go with friends and do the table top bbq where you get to cook your own food. Although it is on the expensive side they have all you can eat for $17.99 sunday through thursday and $18.99 on friday and saturday, which you really get your moneys worth!

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 was our second time visiting Oz. While the first time was okay, this second time was terrible. Once seated, we sat around with no drinks and no server for 20 minutes. Servers would pass by our table, smile, and continue on. When we finally asked who our server was, they didn't know and asked someone else. Finally, our server came.

Oz offers an all-you-can-eat BBQ special for $16.99. It comes with two beef dishes, one pork, and one chicken. 4 adults at our table wanted the all-you-can-eat, while 1 adult does not eat beef and wanted a pricier pork dish on the regular menu. They refused to allow us to have one person not eat the all-you-can-eat. They said the entire table must order all-you-can-eat. While I understand the restaurant's rationale, it makes little sense to not allow someone to order something other than the all-you-can-eat when the dish they are order cost considerably more than the all-you-can-eat. We spoke to two servers who both told us the same thing. We finally asked to speak to a manager. Well this manager was unseen and could not be located. The servers finally said they would bend the rules for us.

The BBQ is good. It is well marinated and cooked perfectly. You can also choose to cook it yourself table-top, but I prefer to have someone cook for me when I eat out. The side dishes were a little scarce. With a table of 5, I expected more than just 5 side dishes.

The thing that sealed the deal of us never returning to Oz was the way we were treated when we were leaving. We arrive at the restaurant at 8:30pm. The restaurant closes at 9:30pm. Because it took us so long to find our serverr, we didn't receive our first round of all-you-can-eat until a little after 9pm. When we asked for another round it took 10 more minutes. When we were packing up to leave, the manager stated that they close at 9:30pm indicating we needed to hurry up. It was only 10pm. That in my opinion is horrific.

Pros: BBQ is good. Happy patrons.

Cons: Terrible management, long wait time, not treating customers with respect.

The food at Oz Korean BBQ Restaurant is pretty good and it's about as authentic as it gets here in Sacramento but it's a bit on the pricey side. I ordered the barbecue chicken which was well marinated, although a few of the pieces were a bit undercooked. My wife ordered the bibimbap and she seemed to like it. The panchan (side dishes) were really good, especially the kimchee. Although this restaurant doesn't compare to the Korean restaurants in Koreatown in Los Angeles, they do a decent job, especially if you're desperate.

I couldn't believe this place wasn't packed on a normal Saturday night. To start, the food is pretty good and enough for two people if you get the BBQ. The tables around the perimeter seat 6 and have a personal grill flush with the table top. The waiter was very curtious and spoke very good english for you skeptics out there. If you get the BBQ, which is around $20, it comes with endless side items (Korean panchan) like sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumbers, etc. We got the Bul-Go-Gi, thinly sliced prime sirloin, and it could have come with a little more meat. After the meal, wash it all down with rice water that actually cleanses your mouth. If you don't want the BBQ, there is plenty other dishes and you can sit at one of the interior tables. All-in-all, this place is great for the family and I highly recommend it.
