Wit's End

Wit's End has great food (soups, sandwiches, etc) and a very respectable selection of draft beers augmented by a good selection of bottles. Plus they have 5 or 6 TVs that they are always happy to tune for your sporting enjoyment. During the day it is great. At night they have local DJs with more of a loud, club scene. Not really my thing, but I'm sure many people would think it's good at night too.

The food is good and they have a wide selection of beers, but the service is incredibly bad. What's worse is the owner's attitude about dealing with customers. I'll be amazed if this place isn't out of business within a few months.

CONS: arrogant owners and lazy staff

I'd driven past the Wits End umpteen times before finally visiting this afternoon with a friend. Was pleasantly surprised. It's comfortable and refreshingly unpretentious. Decent selection of microbrew and international beers. Simple but yummy menu of appetizers and sandwiches.

PROS: Good selection of beers, good simple food
CONS: Limited parking (more a Hillcrest general problem)
