I have been buying sandwiches here since I was 11. I am 39 now, my son loves them and he is 19 now. This place brings back memories every time I go there. It still tastes as good as when I was a kid, don't mind driving down for a sandwich

I had such great memories of Roxie's growing up, that I was almost afraid to go back and try it on my last visit home, but guess what. The Turkey and Provolone on Dutch Crunch is still the bomb!!! I shed a tear.

I am a sandwich lover...I want sauce, I want onions, I want peppers, I want it all(not all...minus tomatoes). So about seven years ago a girlfriend turned me on to a meatless sandwich that I will gladly eat & I AM NOT vegeterian! Any sandwich shop that can make one that does not make me miss the meat has to be special.(Ask for the veggie on dutch, add a slice of cheddar, WARMED) I always call my order in and they are polite over the phone. I get the junior size and have a hard time finishing it all, though I do try! I have ordered a regular & shared it with my two kids & we are all full. So it is very generous. I have enjoyed a pastrami from here from time to time, but keep going back to the veggie!

Pros: You can call ahead to order

Cons: Lunch is BUSY!!! expect the wait if you come @ that time

Roxie's is what Frisco is all about. A hole-in-the-wall corner store if you need something fast, but the headliner is of course the sandwiches. By far, the best hot deli sandwiches anywhere in the Bay. Bread is fresh, meat is fresh, and your chips and drink selection is ridiculous. The line can be long at times, but it's definitely worth the wait.....if you're impatient, call in your sandwich. Try the Mafia with pepperoncini's.....or the Simon Special...whatever you do, make sure to toast your sandwich. The days of buyin' a sandwich, chips and a drink for $5 and getting quantity AND quality are long gone, so have at least $10 so you don't feel limited.....but I guarantee it's ten times better than any Subway, Togo's, Quizno's, or even sit-down restaurant that serves sandwiches. Believe the hype.....

I've been going to roxies for over 20 yrs. and hands down they make the best sandwiches hot or cold you'll ever have. It's a friendly atmosphere the employees are good and the owners make you feel like you are their best customer. Ive had sandwiches from vikings, picilo petes and a bunch of other spots but none will ever compare to a Roxie's.

Pros: Call in before you go, and just pick up your order nice and warm.

Cons: lunch is busy and crowded but well worth it.

Roxie's is a deli that has been around for years! They have one of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area..The line is always out the door and you can always depend on getting a wholesome fresh sandwich. If you are looking for a sandwich and you are in the San Francisco City College area or looking for a bite to eat any time of the day Roxie is the place to go. I would highly recommend calling in your order otherwise expect to wait at least 5-10mins for your sandwich but the wait will be well worth it.

Any sandwich on dutch crunch bread is spectacular and a must. No sandwich compares! My favorite is the Roxi Special, but you can't go wrong with anything there!

They have the best sandwiches in San Francisco. A sponsor of many youth athletic teams in the Ingleside and Excelsior for years, everyone at City College and the local high schools love to stop by Roxie's. Top suggestions: the Turkey/Pastrami combo with Chedder on Extra Sour; Roxie Special on Dutch Crunch; great veggie sandwich, too - give it a try!...complete selection of deli fare and drinks as well. The jokes are almost always funny - if not then the apologies for the jokes are worth a laugh. Go on a sunny day and catch Balboa HS or City play baseball or soccer at Balboa Park! ADD: 2nd location on Kirkham and 9th Av in Inner Sunset: sandwiches as good and usually a small line or none at all...when I'm in that part of the City, I beat the crowds closer to GGPark by going to Roxie Market...Enjoy!

Cons: , Can be crowded @times

I've been going to this place for sandwiches for well over a decade. The service has always been wonderful, which is why their customers are so loyal. The guys behind the counter are always cheery and will make your sandwiches to perfection. Their sandwiches are usually served hot, but you can ask them to leave it cold or in any fashion you prefer. The downside to this place is very small and cramped. if you show up during the lunch hour, you'll probably be bumping up to people. Also, there aren't any places to sit, so if you're looking for a place to sit, you'll probably to have to huddle over a newspaper vending machine or try the bench across the street at Balboa Park.
