Hana is great. My wife is so happy with the work she did on her wedding dress. That was the only thing that my wife was worried about and Hana assured her that it will be done on time and it will fit her perfectly. Hana spent about ~8 hours doing custom work on the dress such as hand sewing the beads on the dress and the details of the design. She is awesome and she will also be custom tailoring my daughter??s baptism dress. Take your business to her, she will take good care of your clothes and will give you wonderful customer service.

I have been getting my Alterations done at Hana's since she first opened her business back in the 90??s. She actually saved me so much money by fixing my clothes and avoiding me to constantly buy new clothes when they just needed some minor alteration. I think she is wonderful and a valuable business owner in the Redlands community. Despite what anyone else out there would want to say bad about her, we all know that not everyone is going to be satisfied with prices services, etc. If they want to go out and get cheap work done, so be it. That is not her philosophy of work. She charges fairly and also if you need a rush job done, of course you would expect to get charged a little bit more just like any other business that requires scheduling prior to finishing a transaction so if you need her to push your job ahead of the queue, don??t complain about the added cost! If anything she is doing you a favor. She is dedicated to her business and always welcomes people back.

I never write reviews but had to after reading the only one on here which was very negative. I have had a great experience with her very nice and professional service. I have had two bridesmaid dresses altered here over the course of several years. Both were pretty significant alterations as I ordered the dress by guessing sizes while pregnant and then had to have it sized down by A LOT after the fact. Both were very nicely made dresses - Vera Wang - and not simple to alter. Hannah did a great job and her fees were reasonable. I was comfortable in her store and you can tell she knows what she is doing. I would take any dress to her in the future. A very good experience both times.

In response to the alleged statement by Ms. Elizabeth Chung.

It is the letter we filed to the Better Business Bureau when we were asked to answer Ms. Chung's complaint:

Dear Sir/Madame
1.Please find attached the invoice of the contracted work that Ms. Chung agreed upon, and as you can see there was no sash strings as part of the original agreement.
2.I had to leave for an emergency trip after I had finished the entire required job that we originally agreed upon per the attached invoice.
3.Ms. Chung??s party came to my shop and took the finished dresses, paid the money and left. This is an indication that the customer was satisfied with the work.
4.They later returned after a week and asked for an additional job to be done on the dresses. My assistant called me and I instructed her to charge them an additional $20 because this was not part of the original agreed upon job. We normally charge $15 per dress for such kind of work and there were only two dresses and therefore they should have been charged $30. Instead we gave them a discount and asked only for $20. And finally it went down to a mere $10, which is 67% discount, and for a one-day service.
5.During their second visit they were very rude to my assistant and spoke bad language with her and treated her like trash.
6.Ms. Chung even wanted to confiscate our copy of the original invoice from my assistant. This copy we always keep for our records. We suspect that Ms. Chung had the intention of making sure she destroys all evidence of our good intentions.
7.We have been in this business since 1996 in Redlands and we have over 30 years of total experience and had excellent relationship with our customers. We take pride in the quality of work we do perform on our customer??s attire (unlike what Ms. Chung reported ?? as she was trying to justify her case). We have excellent reputation with thousands of satisfied customers that we have over the 13 years of business in Redlands (your web site showed absolutely no complaint as proof of our excellent record) and we had never ever had such rude treatment like we had from Ms. Chung.
8.We are thus declining to pay any settlement to Ms. Chung. Our justification is simply that we abided by the contracted job, and that she had to pay the extra $10 for additional work.
9.We are now consulting with our attorney to evaluate pursuing with a law suit against Ms. Chung for trying to ruin our established business reputation. Ms. Chung??s complaint is one example why small businesses in California are closing.
Thanks for bringing this matter to our attention and we certainly assure you that we will continue to offer our excellent services to our customers.

This is my first bad review ever, and I am only writing because of how ridiculous my experience has been with Hana's Alterations. I hope others can avoid our nightmare experience. I normally let things go because I believe that we should give each other room to grow. However, the service I received from Hana's Alterations was horrendous - there were no apologies, and they were trying to fleece us to the end. I'm the maid of honor, and my sister's wedding was this past Sunday on April 5, 2009. I flew into the area in February and arranged for appointments with three of our bridesmaids who were local to the area. Two of them were able to make it when I went in, and the other one brought her dress in a few days later. We arranged for one dress to be altered and the sash strings to be changed to pink at $120, and the other one for $60. Way over-priced, but I thought maybe this was how things are in California. In Cleveland, Ohio - the highest quote for the same amount of work was $95. I came back a few days before the wedding and discovered that (1) the sash strings were still black and not pink AND (2) the workmanship on the $120 charged dress was horrible. She had cut the material and not even bothered to tuck in the frayed edges when she sewed it back together. The sewing was uneven. In contrast, my dress that I had done in Ohio had no problems. When I took the dresses back to the store, instead of an apology - the lady (Hana's sister named Iba) was defensive and wanted to charge me for changing the sash strings. She said that Hana was on vacation and that she would call her. Just to change the strings, she needed 2 days. I said ok since we did have 2 days and there were so many other things I needed to be doing. I sent my other sister to pick up the dresses because I needed to be elsewhere for last-minute wedding preparations. She was charged $10, and only 2 out of the 3 sash strings were changed with very flimsy thread. The third was still black, and the other dress was completely unchanged. My sister paid because she felt that she had no choice in order to get the dresses. I went back today to ask what happened. Iba again told me that Hana was not back. She was quite rude and told me that Hana had actually told her to charge $20. That she had been good to us and charged us $10. Summary: Avoid Hana's Alterations because you will receive poor workmanship/incomplete work and be charged for things that were supposed to have been included originally.
