Rude Staff Dont Care if Animals Die
1
We have been loyal customers for over a decade-- often going in to buy stuff for our own pets, or just to look and enjoy the animals...over the past several times, however, we have noticed the front staff becoming increasingly rude-- often slouched over the counters and looking pissed off (like, "don't bother me") if you approach them with a question... Yesterday, we found a turtle (an EXPENSIVE one) basically drowning in the water bowel... we alerted staff to the situation so they could save the little guy (and the store's potential for income) but were greeted with a sarcastic laugh that "oh well, they would die in the wild too" NICE!!!! I wonder if the owner is aware:
#1 that their staff is allowing the animals entrusted to their care- to die (even when it is preventable)
#2- that their very unprofessional/rude staff is chasing away loyal customers who have been going there/spending money there for YEARS...
that's OK-- there is another great indie pet store that we found, where they actually seem to care about their animals AND their customers...guess they will be getting our business (and our referrals) from now on... hmmm and in this economy... I wonder if pet kingdom can afford to continue to do business with the same old attitude? Mom and pop? sure! But with respect to Pet Kindom- Mom and Pop aren't there-- Its the bratty kids that are running/ruining the store that bothers me!
