As a tourist, the Chronicle was a fairly good newspaper to read. It informed on some of the local happenings of the Bay Area while also keeping tabs on national and world news.

I used to read the SF Chronicle Daily. But I don't know. lately it is just not the same paper as it used to be. Th earticles are not as well written and there are always mistakes. Also te layout of the paper used to be much better, with articles that are inetresting. Now I actually prefer to read another paper unless this one is just hanging around work. Very disappointing changes in this paper.

Maybe I was spoiled by the excellent reporting and journalism of the Los Angeles Times, but the San Francisco Chronicle is a joke of a newspaper. There are always things wrong in the paper, and the stories are more fluff than anything. Best sections are the scandal-riddled pages of the city section and the great reporting of the sports section. But the Chronicle being SF's only daily, it's take-it-or-leave-it and I guess I have to take it.

Delivery is also terrible. I think this depends on where you are, as when I was living in an expensive part of SF, my delivery was impeccable, and when I moved downtown, the carriers would throw my paper as hard as they could against my door each early morning. I had to call many times to get a replacement as they were either never delivered or stolen. Try to call them for a deal. I got a 40-week subscription for around $40.
