I was a customer at the Janeth's Bridal in Visalia on Court Street. I hate to even this ONE STAR, but it's required. I ordered my dream dress out of a catalog from her and she took my $400 deposit on the $800+ dress. When it came in, before she even altered it and the tags were still intact, I tried it on. It had this weird hard plastic on the chest area and made my breasts look deformed. Not being her fault at all, I asked if we could return this dress and order a new one. She said yes at first, then when I came back a week later to place an order for a new dress, she said that she couldn't return my dress because she "didn't want to upset the company she orders from." I picked a new dress from the SAME company and even called to hear for myself about their policy. They told me that she COULD return the dress, no problem, except they wouldn't pay for the shipping. When I told her this, and offered to pay for all the shipping myself, she still denied me. She wanted me to keep the dress and insisted that I pay her the rest of the money for it BEFORE It was even altered. I had to leave the dress and EAT MY DEPOSIT only 3 weeks before my wedding! Not only that, but she kept all of the deposits for my bridesmaids dresses who had nothing to do with my dress. She wouldn't let them take their dresses home EVEN if they paid in full! IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!! Thank goodness for David's Bridal, who got me all of my dresses in time :-).
